Default how much nitrious can you put on a stock ls1?

I'm thinking about putting Nitrious in my 2000 camaro z28 SLP because I believe it is the best bang for the buck, the most horsepower for the money. So I heard dont go more than 100hp shot with stock internals but i'm just curious if I can run more with out destroying my engine.

I believe I have around 350-400 hp which includes some bolt-ons full exhaust SLP cam heads etc.. i I cant recall if the ls1 stock is good for 550 or 600hp with stock internals and i have different cars that i use for racing i just want this car, my DD to have asmuch power as the engine can handle without problems.

there is a guy on ls1tech that i cant find the post and he used 100shot on stock ls1 made 137rwhp more and all he did was retard the engine 2 degrees and ran already 600 bottles thru the ls1 and is running in the 11's and has never rebuilt the engine and has now 60k on the engine. I'm just looking for what is a good combo with no2 becuause i dont have money to turbo or supercharge engine and would rather spend more on suspention and getting the power to stick to the road...

My LS1 with cam and 150 shot made 558 at the tires, and my stock iron block lasted a while on a 200 shot, made 730 at the tires. Its in the tune. Rod bolts are weak also though

It's all in the tune. I've sprayed 250 on stock rotating assembly. It's still alive.

Im right there with you. I personally think it will take 300 or so reliably if we hit the tuneup dead nuts. But that is just me and many people think im crazy, so there you go. lol.

i think a stock ls1 will take a 500 shot... just depends how many passes it will take at that kinda power. now a 200 - 300 shot i think it will take it for quite a while with a perfect setup

dang you've got an slp z28! wow, its even got slp heads and cam! those also have slp forged rotating assemblys in them wich will hold 750hp, so i would put at least a 300 shot on your car!
