Best way to activate nitrous
I was wondering whats a better way to activate a N20 hit? Either a push button setup or a WOT switch? I figure the push button is nice because you can spray when you want but the WOT switch does all the work for you. Either setup will of course have a window switch. Any input?

Actually if you read all the nitrous articles, it shows that the mechanical way (WOT switch) is the error proof way to go. (especially if you have a good one! ;-)).

maddboost, I am sure you have been around long enough to know that safety should be first...and with that, use a manual throw arming switch to energize the system, and a WOT to turn the solenoids on/off. Or if you prefer, go WOT then use your manual switch.
I have tried the WOT and lemme tell ya, not cool on your way to work and your passing that little old lady on a 3mi open stretch of road!
-or-
I also had a hasty 5 min nitrous install, literally zip tied the solenoids on, and used only a manual switch...last time I ran this "ghetto" setup, I had a 3-4 clutch pack go out and laid on the rev limiter until I could reach up and disarm the system. If I had let off the gas=big boom when shooting a 200shot.

I might need to be a bit clearer. I would have a seperate arming switch to activate the nitrous system with a window switch. But to do the actual jetting would a WOT switch or a push button setup be better? I figure the push button would give you better control.

i have done some imstalls, that are simple, and solve this problem.
run a spst switch, for selection.
side A, arm-------selector--------wot----relay--window
side B arm--------selector------buttton-----wot----relay-----window.
So side A is just WOT control, where side B is wot AND button, best of both worlds, if you like to push a button.
Ryan <-- i won't install a kit without a wot switch.

If you wanna a push button, get one.
I actually had my quickest 60' when using only a arm/spray switch manually thrown at the line... But it did induce a lot of wheel spin at the same time. My safest, most consistent and better mph/et producing was from a WOT and launched on part throttle til the wheels planted, then WOT.
