Cam I had in my last setup was a 244/248 on a 113 with 4 degrees of advance ground in and we advanced it some more as well...
That was drivable in a 402 inch motor, idle was never a problem, etc. That was also done in late 2006, so it's a little old on the technology side compared to what today's stuff is... but it worked pretty good.
All out max big nitrous I'd have upped the exhaust another 10 degrees from where it was and increased the lsa a bunch too, probably up in the 115 to 118 range, and also advanced it some more.
I certinaly haven't done anything that's world beating or on the edge.... just know what we did and what worked/didn't work.

I purchased a 300hp Zex plate system and a new solid roller setup a little over a year ago. Cam specs as recommended by Comp Cams to maximize the 300hp shot were:
.688/.689 lift, 276/276 duration and 114 LSA (in a 388ci SBC).
Obviously this will sacrifice some N/A power but will really wake up the 300hp shot.

You wont a decent sized split on the exhaust duration at the least, and you are straight up. something like 272/286 etc.

Hmmm lol.
Gunna have to check that Cam spec card when I get home but I was pretty sure that was the deal. I was more concerned with the LSA for the purposes of this post but a few more degrees on the exhaust would be useful. I'll double check.
EDIT: .688/.689, 260/270 on a 112 LSA

called comp and told them I wanted a nitrous cam. Got .679/.645 279/282 @.050 114 lsa. seems to work good. car picks up 1.5 seconds on a 175 shot. 2 seconds on a 250 shot. Soon to find out what a 400 shot will do!
