Default Spark plug tuning video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAuAuIhRQd4

Something we put together to help out with basic setups. Obviously setups will differ but this is a good starting point.

ATVracer - Here you go big guy. Let us know if we can help!

Just kidding man.

P.S. The fuel plug looks darker than it really was.

I like the video but those plugs used as examples are horrible. Haha. Also maybe want to state a non projected plug is reccomended for nitrous set ups and the timing rule could also not take enough timing away on some setups as well. We take more then that and creep it back in.

All in all pretty informative

Overly retarded... LOL

I think the 2* per 50 rule is OK for 23* SBC/ old school motors
The steeper valve angle and small chamber LS heads need more timing taken out than 2* per 50hp.

We also get the fueling correct before we add any timing.
We also do not run the timing mark in the middle of the bend, we keep it out near the tip of the strap.

Damn those are some ugly *** plugs !! LOL

Here is one of my plugs from 2 years ago.....

I agree on the plug pics. They honestly looked better in person than the pic.

2*50 is just starting point. I REALLY wish I could go over the basics with every person. But obviously we cant,Hence the videos. What I honestly hope for is to save a few guys motors from just putting a kit on and thrashing away.

I tell people I deal with every day " send me pics of the plugs ill look them over". Much better to give me or even one of the other sponsors you TRUST a chance to look it over. Might save you a motor.

I would love to see Wayne and Steve do an informational video going over the basics of spark plug reading/tuning. I think it could be one of the greatest videos ever made.

Fuel is nice fo sho. Hard to see in the pic but if the mark is closer to the tip vs bend. I wouldnt be scarred to add a couple. Unless you did and pick'd nothing up.

Mine are a c hair more grey and mph out with the mark just starting on the bend. But my **** is stockish..

So my question is this right now I am running TR6, yes I know I need to go to BR plugs, but since I am making 538 rwhp on the juice would the 7 be better or run the br6's. running 28* of timing.

Sorry for the hijack NX. thanks for the info though.

If you or your tuner can tune it I personally would just run the 7. Its such a small difference and doesnt hurt much NA power. Safer for the win.
