I have an issue with my lid/intake/coupler ever since i installed my 78mm plate. Its all messed up since the plate moved the TB forward about 1/2 inches. I'd like to see some pics of your coupler/lid to see if it looks like what mine looks like. Also, if you made some changes to get it to work better i'd like to know what you did. I also posted a thread over in the external engines section for some opinions on whats going on here thinking it might be the motor mounts.

Also the lid is bigger than factory and the MAF is too so that also adds to the problem. You'll need to either get a new coupler or cut that one down. Other than that there is nothing that can be done.

I tried a coupler from there and it didn't work at all, but i didn't pick out a very good choice haha. Do you think a 45 degree would be to much of a bend? I'm also going to have a friend of mine take a look at it. He is amazing at fabricating just about anything. Maybe he can come up with a cool idea that nobody has and would want to copy.

Why such a big air lid and maff on a stock throttle body and intake? Not hating on it just wondering why you went that route.

You may try trimming the coupler from the lid to the maff so you can move the maff closer to the lid. That will ease up some of the transition.

Can you trim some plastic off the intake and slide the coupler on further and therefore move the MAF out further forward as well? If the coupler is too small, you could always slice the bottom of it to get it to expand over the flare of the intake, then just clamp it tight. If the MAF butts up against the intake still and you're kind of jammed up, you could trim a bit off of the housing to get some extra mm's too.

If you can make up a little space up front it should pull that hose straighter.

heres mine. i called silicone intakes and told them i needed a coupler from the maf to the tb and they shipped me it. (siliconeintakes.com as stated above) You have to trim it to fit. this is what mine looks like. they have different sizes for the coupler and if im correct its a 45* coupler. stock is 3.5" on one side and 4" on the other but your maf is bigger so just measure it and tell them. from the maf to the lid just get a straight coupler to go over or a straight reduced coupler... you will have to trim the lid alot. i took probably 1" total off mine but i have a different lid. well heres mine so maybe it will help. excuse the nx shark nozzle hanging out there still lol

X3 on the home depot coupler

I went and got "fernco" in the plumbing section and trimmed it to fit. When i had the stock tb/maf it was a 3x3. Let me see if i can find a pic. Time for a bigger one on the 90mm set up

If you have a 90mm lid and larger mass air meter like the original poster I can only imagine the fight you had to get your plate in. Ours is thinner than the one you have and it looks like he has a tight fit.
