Default How does timing affect power levels.

I'm planning on running a small shot (50-70) on a wet single nozzle setup but I can't find a handheld tuner to retard the timing and the closest tuner that I know of is almost 5 hours away. How would this affect my engine if I were to try to run it this way?

50shot you don't need to retard timing. 75 might be a good idea to run pure 94 or mix a 2-5 gallons of 110 with your 10-15 gallons of 89 just to be safe.

So if I run let's say a 70 shot with 93 octane in the tank I should be safe right?

Yes if you are on a 89 octane tune.

throw some octane booster in the tank with the best gas you can get at a pump and spray away.

Yeah that's what I'm planning to do.
A week or two before run the car till i have a little less than a 1/4 tank filling it with premium and repeating once more to get rid of the 89octane.

I do beg to differ.
Last time I checked, the "good" octane boosters contain MMT, which is used, where legal, to increase the octane rating of gasoline. To me, it is worth the $10 if race gas isn't readily available. But all we can get here in California is 91 octane premium, so if you already have 94 at the pump, an octane booster isn't going to make as much of a difference, I will give you that.

The OP said 93 octane pump gas, so I figure the octane booster is worth a few bucks for safety, considering that he isn't modifying the timing from stock.
