spraying through shifts
spraying through shifts im pretty famelier with spray, shot 125 all the time in my 300 but now i have a 2002 WS6 and im wanting to do the same thing.
are you guys spraying through your shifts? i always did and i had no problems but it looks like i had a better trans.
i had a button i held down to spray the entire time, so theoretically i could do the same thing with this on except let off the button near the 1-2 shift and hold down again 2nd gear 3000 rpms, etc etc?

I've done it and never have had an issue. When you start to make real power and have H/C/I with lets say a 150 shot thats when I started to have problems, but none before that.
You don't say if you have a 6spd or auto. You can buy a window switch if you are concerned about it and you can control when you spray with it. For example you can spray from 3000-6000 only so that way it will give the trans time to shift.

Its not going to. I don't know of any car that shifts at the same rpm whether on the motor or spray. If you have to turn the spray off to shift then you have an issue.

With my M6 I sprayed from 3000 - 6600 using a MSD window switch and set my shift light at 6800 which is what my cam made power to. I was told my trans would last longer not spraying though the shifts... dunno how true that is, but I didn't want to test it.
I have always sprayed thru the shifts with stock and built transmissions.
I have 2 tunes since 1 you need to pull timing and 2 A4 cars need a different tune for shift points.

As I said before, I have a FLT Level 4 4L60E. My shift points are 6700ish. I don't have a seperate tune on the bottle. I have roughly a 200 going through it and didn't have to touch the shift points. I'm sure I'll probably have to on the 300 though

There shouldn't be any problems spraying a TH350 with a full manual valve body. I've sprayed the FMVB TH350 in my '66 Chevy truck thru shifts with up to a 400 shot and have broke a few parts, but none of them tranny related. As a matter of fact, the thought of not spraying thru shifts hadn't even entered my head until I bought my 00' SS and started reading what some of you guys are doing with these cars. If you can't spray a FMVB TH350 or TH400 thru shifts, then you need to find a new tranny builder. JMO...
im more then positive your trans would last a bit longer by not spraying it through the shifts. plus if your manually shifting you dont wanna hit the rev limiter while spraying juice. i have a stock rebuilt 4l60e with a yank 3600. its held up strong with the juice
