Default Toluene...

I'm having a hard time finding a location for a stand alone in my C5Z06. I have a Jr. Draster tank but with the tank, pump, and regulator it's getting to be a serious challenge to make it all fit and not make the engine bay look like shat.

I'm considering running a mix of Toluene with 93 pump gas. I'm running a 150 wet kit and I'm pulling 9* for a total of 17 based on what the plugs want. I'd like to get some of that back as I think I'm prolly losing over 30whp.

Anyone using this or a C5 with a stand alone?

Thanks

Sarge

Why not just use race gas? I have used tolulene/xylene in a pinch(late at night) with great results but after doing the math a few years back it was cheaper to just use race gas.

As for the other question, you can get a cell for a good price that should fit your needs. I would not make the underhood look like poo

Why not get the system from Nitrous Outlet
http://www.nitrousoutlet.com/catalog...3&product=1000

Or if you have relocated the battery.

Nitrous Outlet kit says it's for a Vararam intake and it's $900.

I may still go with a race gas mix but I'm sourcing prices for both right now.

Other than the Nitrous Outlet tank I can't find one for a C5. Do you know of another?

You gotta pay to play... Also, you have a vette so I know you already know about the vette tax.

Sounds like opportunity knocking.

Its hard not to sometimes though.

Trick performance has one for 99-06 trucks that is small enough to probably fit under the hood of a c5 somewhere and its cheap but you will have to plumb in the pump and stuff. Here's the link

http://www.shop.trickperformanceprod...r-Tank-002.htm

The only other alternative is to get one built but that is still costly once you figure in material and labor.

The reason our systems are nore expensive for the vettes has nothing to do with the vette tax....its due to the much more complex tank shape to get it to fit the limited space we have to work with.

I have the F-body fuse box composite tank from N2O outlet thats going in my vette. I'm mounting it right in the corner of the driverside frame rail and bumper support. your going to have to notch the radiator shroud a little to get it to fit, but on my mock up it looks good and uncluttered. if you need a pump and lines i have everything that came out mine, they are still new and never used. I'm going a different route for fuel so I have no need for them.

Here ya go, sorry it took so long for me to get back with some pics.

I am changing up the regulator, pump and inlet into the cell. there is a pre-drilled/tapped return that i am going to plug that sits on the side up against the drivers side frame rail. I am most likely going to put the return on the open side of the cell. It looks tight but there is plenty of room to open the cell for filling. Hope this helps a little.

most paint stores carry Toulene. You can also use Xylene (117 octane I believe).

3 gallons of Xylene and 7 gallons of 91 octane make just under 100 octane. For every gallon of Xylene you add.... add an ounce of Marvel Mystery Oil as a fuel lubricant. Used to do this with my GN powered RX-7
http://gnttype.org/forums/archive/index.php?t-8407.html

You can also add it to 100 octane unleaded to make it even higher
