i have a friend fill it. i get it for $3 a lb. i think he gets 64lb. (of nitrous) in the bottle and pays about 100. so about 1.50... he gets it for.

only other option is another shop in town that charges $5...

I sell it for 3.50 a lbs for the last 21 years. And no it cost more then 1.50 a lb. unless he is getting medical grade. " which you are not suppose to get"

$3.50lb here in sw florida, at the local speed shop and the track. $100 for 64lbs really makes me want to get my own filling station.

they add sulfur dioxide to the non-medical grade to keep people from using it for "recreational use", in other words, the non medical stuff will kill you if you try to huff it. I think you also need special permits and the sort to use/distribute medical grade for the same reason.

I refill my own bottles but I think the only local shop here changes $6 or $8lb. When I used to own my old shop I sold it for $4/lb.

I pay 3.50/lb at one station and 5.00/lb when im at the track and i have to get it from the guy who brings it on his truck. But to answer your question I wouldnt buy a filling station unless you use it a whole lot. If you only use it once or twice a month I would stick with getting it filled by someone else
