Default shark nozzle placement?

I'm installing a kit on my car and want to know if there is a specific measurement on how far in front of the TB to mount you're shark nozzle. If you have pictures please post are let me know your opinion. Thanks

6-8 inches from the throttle body. gives the nitrous/fuel time to mix and provide better distribution.

I'm going to disagree with the above. People have been installing nozzles directly in the throttle body/carbs for decades without any problems. Nitrous/fuel mix will take place in the nozzle. Think about a direct port system. It's placed in the most down stream part of the runner of the manifold.

Nitrous Outlet Plate - placed downstream of the throttle body.

My direct port - each nozzle placed farthest possible downstream position of each runner.

The reason to place nozzles up stream from the TB is that the nozzle discharge is in the shape of a cone. You want to give the nozzle time to fill the entire intake tube before entering the throttle body. This will help with distribution.

CORRECTLY designed plates, not all plates, will have a different style discharge that is designed to be behind the throttle body and the flow pattern is very different from that of a nozzle.

On the direct port, since it is placed in the intake runner the orifice it has to fill is much smaller.

I only have about 3 inches behind my maf to mount the nozzle. Is three inches in front of TB enough ?

Ask your plugs.

It should be fine. But Make a small pass on fresh plugs and check the distribution.

OK. Does anyone put the shark nozzle in front of the maf sensor on a wet kit?

You cannot run a wet system in front of the MAF. That will not work at all.

Ha ha! What a way to put it!

GTBEWARE: To answer why - The MAF getting sprayed with a plume of fuel wouldn't good for the sensor. Not only that, but the MAF seeing the n2o will automatically adjust for the fuel requirement so no added fuel (from the wet nozzle) would be required. You'd end up with twice the fuel needed.
