Thumbs up ls2 HUGE NITROUS GAIN !

I just tuned my 2002 trans am...just installed a lq9 with patriot heads, cam, ls6 intake....put down 404 with 6 degrees pulled then ran 150 wet shot of nitrous and put down 577 hp and 620lb-ft torque at 5700 rpm...is the safe on my ring land?

Which system? Are you reading the plugs? What plugs? What jets? Car track only or does it see street time?

Why are you worried about the ringlands specifically? If the tune up is good no reason you can not run it at that power level.

Zex Wet kit High output, jets 64 nitrous and 33 fuel. Pulled the plugs after the run and they looked fine. All have to look back and see what the plugs were specifically but they are the 2 step colder ngk's. I drive the car on the street quite a bit. The reason I am worried about the ring land is because before when i had my ls1 i broke the ring land on #7 piston with the 150 shot. But come to find out my timing tuner was not taking out any timing. So we just took out timing overall this time and ran the 150 but it was crazy number it spiked to 712 lb-ft of torque at around 3300rpm. The tuner let off at 5700 becuase he felt that the number were getting to high. It would have hit 600 hp at 6,000 rpm. Im realling wanting to run the 150 at the drags but dont want to have any problems.

Did someone who can read the plugs check them out(Not implying you cant just asking)? I just want to verify that the tune is safe. If the distribution is good with that nozzle and the tuneup is there, you will be good.

If you dont like the power its making dial it back down to a 125hp

I was also wondering, are people seeing gains of 200 hp off of a 150 shot nitrous very often ? I am not worried about the bottum end just the pistons. I do have the arp rod bolts. I know a guy with a stock bottum end 5.3L running 20 psi of boost on E85 fuel and it is holding up fine. I just am under the impression the the pistons arent as strong as the rods and crank are.
