Default Retard Timing for wet 100 shot ? Stock LT1

I hear that any shot over 100 would need timing pulled. I dont want to tune the PCM to retard timing, I would do the IAT resistor mod. But my question is if it is actually necessary to pull timing for a 100 shot. Thanks

to much timing not a good thing id start off at pulling 5 degreces and if need be add timing back in. thats how i would do it. not the opposite

I ran my bolt on lt1 with a 100 shot with a stock tune for over a year spraying it all the time. Ran 11.22 bolt ons/100 kit.

If you have access to high octane gas, mix a few gallons and forget about it.
I ran a 100 shot w/91 octane for years without retarding timing. After 6 years I pulled the heads and all pistons were like new (flat top hypereutectics).

If you use 91 or higher octane gas you'll be ok, just put colder plugs. Mixing high octane is like cheap insurance.

they say 2 degrees for every 50 hp. but if its a stock tune they tend to run them rich. but run at own risk id say pull 2-3 degrees and see how it goes, you can always put some back.

Ive sprayed everything from bikes to mudboggers and ive always pulled timing. you can use msd timing twister and not tune the pcm. i pulled timing on my bike and got more gain on spray than all others with same shot of juice. I made 194 on motor and with 48 shot it made 257 on spray, 10 horse over my boys and i pulled 3deg of timing. But its all just a matter of preference.

So 100 shot (wet), tr6 plugs, race gas, microedge controller and your set? no need to retard some timing? Can i retard the timing with a diablo handheld? What about Harris speed work interface?

It is a stock LS1 (Corvette). Any difference? Will race gas be enough?
