Default Timing controller options

Hey I'm planning on purchasing something to pull timing out when I spray it. I know msd makes a timing twister and have heard of a lingenfelter making something doing the same thing but wasn't sure what everyone thought was the best or what other options there are for an ls1.

Hsw
nitrous outlet

and yes lingenfelter makes the LNC-002

to my knowledge the HSW and the onlygenfelter lnc-002 are the only 2 controllers that when activated will show on HPT.

i just purchased the HSW interface and will be installing probably this coming week. i'll get back to you with what i think about it

Not sure on your setup but on a different car i had msd multi-step retard, 4 stages allowing to pull 9* in each stage. Burnout, come up on convertor with timing, then release trans brake, timing is pulled, nitrous comes on.

On my race car I use the Custom operating system with EFI Live.

On my wifes 2010 camaro I used the lingenfelter up until we sold the car.

We do installs here at the shop and we have used the timing tunner for race tronix as well as the MSD Timming Twister.

In my opnion the Lingenfelter using is the best choice.

It can remove up to 15 degrees of timing. It has a two step built in. It simply plugs in between the coil pack connectors. and it is the only unit that has a 0-5 volt refference wire that allows you to use HP tuners, EFI Live or a volt meter to varify the unit is removing timing.

You would have to swap to a 99pcm for the custom operating system. The timing tuner will work fine. I have used many of them before the lingenfelter came out.

<Sarge whispers> Resistor Mod FTW! Let the PCM pull the timing.
