Bottle blowing up
Dave, interesting, my friend must be talking about the same incident. He said some guy in a Nissan blew up his garage!
<strong>Do you guys mean the blow-down tube? Is that the saftey release valve?

Yeah, the blow off (safety) valve is hooked to the blow down tube (or vice versa), so that if the relief valve blows the nitrous will be directed down the blow down tube and outside of the car, and not just disperse the gas and fill up the car.
It should blow at 3000 psi.
The dump tube and attached safety valve are there to prevent such incidents. A nitrous bottle is a compressed gas cyclinder and all applicable safety practices should be followed.
