Default First time hitting the button.......what was it like???

I will be installing the NX wet kit this winter on my T/A WS6 6M, and just thought that I would ask if you experianced N20 guys would just share with me the first time that you jumped in a hit the button on a N20 car...I am just getting anxious to get the system on and let her rip next spring, so if you would share I would really appreciate it a bunch..Thanks, Michael

Well I'll be honest Micheal I was nervous I wasnt sure what was going to happen after getting everything wired up LOL. I had done a couple of electrical tests in the garage before going out, and everything seemed to check out OK.

The first time I nailed it I was impressed but I could tell something was wrong. I took it to the dyno the next week after looking at auto tap data, and realized that my solonoids were not properly grounded which was cutting about 60rwhp from the shot

But when I got it fixed

This is what happed the first time I sprayed it when it was set up correctly.

Got the bottle up to about 1100psi, and went down the street with Jason (Chesapeake Trans Man) I armed it at about 40mph and stomp it. At the bottom of second gear on my F1's it was just a joke. It felt like I was in the burnout box at cecil. After the trans shifted into third it started to settle down and pull.

One of the best rushes I have had in a long time The torque blew me away!

Have fun !

The first car I had that I put a bottle on was an '88 Mustang GT. Unfortunately, I didn't really know what I was doing and the first time I sprayed it felt like a 10 shot or something. Then the solenoid stuck open because I had no inline filter and popped the head gaskets!?! I fixed the car but never ran the juice through it again. Great decision, right?

My C5 experience is somewhat similar. I had put together my ideal budget dry system from the NOS parts catalog. Install was easy but I had the fogger shooting directly in the MAS and I froze the damn thing during the first test pass. The car went into limp mode but since it was the first time I'd experienced it I didn't know if the engine was hurt or what!?! A few tweaks later and I was very happy. There simply is nothing like the spray...it's so instantaneously brutal. I love it

my fist on an LS1 was a wet nx 200, lets just say i was speachless to go from 13.1 stock strait to a 11.7@119 on stock tires, im now going to a 2 stage wet dry, results to come soon, PS do not try this at home, ( not responsible for breakage or underware soils, some restictions apply see your local gurus for details)

Mine was the same as many other in that your always nervous for the first time(sortta like sex!)
After that you have a spring in your step and grin from ear to ear....

My only problem was shifting the car fast enough not to hit the limiter when the tires broke loose.... but then again I hit the juice in first gear.....

I can only begin to imagine as to how hard it is going to be to bang thru the gears. My plan is to start off with the 50 jets and work my way up to 150. I also think that I will hold the spray off until 3rd gear to make sure that I have a good grip on the road...Does this sound like a good plan or do any of the experts have some quick tips and advice for a 6M....And thanks again for all sharing reading your replys gets my heart pumpin and can't wait to become a N20 addict...Thanks again...Michael

Im gonna add a 2nd stage 100shot wet to my current setup and I'm also getting a 9in or a 12bolt rear so I can really enjoy 4.10's and 28in ET Streets all off the line too.

Now lets see how much traction I can find.

I was grinning like a guy that just saw his first Playboy. It's a rush, mainly because it hits so hard. It's like SNAP, and you are flying. You do have to be ready to shift because the tires WILL break lose. First, second, third - doesn't matter. Get ready to shift and prepare for that *** end to kick out to the passenger's side. I've had cars that made more power than a juiced LS1, but they lacked the PUNCH this combo has.

I'd skip that whole 50-75-90-100-125 buildup. Just toss in the 100 and work from there. Anything else would seem a waste of good nitrous to me...

My fist time (like many other firsts) was very disapointing. Then I took that 50 shot pill out and found a drill bit! 150 seemed like a good #. OMG the way that hit @ 50 mph!?! I've been spraying that shot for a year and a half. ******* awesome everytime!

First shot with my new ARE 383 built for Nos motor? Lol, well I was on the dyno at a ford place. Had just dynoed at 422 rwhp all motor and was like...well that nice. Lets try a 140 dry shot. The guys at Fordspeed only put two straps on the back of the car and had made me drive. When i hit the juice the whole car shuddered side to side and spun on the rollers. I could see all the techs holding there breath but I wasnt letting out. I was looking for a spot where I would steer it if the straps broke. It finally hooked at 4000 rpm and spun the rollers up in a flash. Everyone in the shop was dead silent when i shut it down. We all went to the computer monitor and it flashed up on the screen: 611.8 rwhp. Everyone of the Ford guys where like, "Dayuuuum, chevy power, whooaaa"! Of course I was grinning ear to ear.
That was my first and best experiance spraying the new motor...........Al
