In the first post the weight is shown as 3,350 lbs.

Sorry for getting off on a tangent OP. Didn't mean any negativity by my post.

I am not sure you really answered his question. Re-read what I typed below.

“Killer is very close with his predictions and as you learn the car and fine tune the setup it should get down in the high 5's and low 9's but it will take time.”

The post I was referring from Killer is below.

I never said or agreed that engine combo would run mid 5’s or mid to high 8’s on a 200 shot of nitrous

Below is what I typed to help ease the expectations put out there for all of us with your post. Nowhere in my response does it say you were wrong. It said it takes a lot to get a 3,350 lb car into the mid 5’s.

“One responder to your thread stated you should be mad if it does not run 5.6's, let me say a 3,350 lb car needs to work perfectly to run that number and you need to be spot on with your driving skills. It may run that one day but not at first.”

That is the thing about responding to threads on the internet sometimes they get taken the wrong way. Raymond sorry for hijacking your thread as stated before good luck and be safe!

No biggie i didnt take anything wrong. I live about 15 minutes from BMR so the parts are right here for me to get my car to hook. I will get it to hook on 275's on the street, much less the track! My goal was set at that because of my Ls3 already went mid 6's and i have acouple cars that run high nines i want to beat.

Yes you are right there.

At 3350 and a 200 shot your right it would take the stars, sun, and moon to allign to run that number.

I know at least 10-15 cars though in my area in the RS275 class that run consistent 5.40's-5.60's with .082 jets(200-225hp) with a 427 c.i. limit and stock valve angle heads for LS motors so nothing crazy get's through, same goes for SBF but they are allowed High Ports and Twisted Wedge heads. Most of the motors in that class are going to make what the OP's does, maybe 100hp more in the most extreme case. They weigh 3150. 200lbs more is going to make it harder for damn sure but I can see it going 5.90's with a low 1.30 60' and a good hard 330'.

It's not black magic to get a car to go down the track clean and straight, and under maximum power.

You have two cars that work really well consistently so you know what I speak is attainable. With the help the OP can get from this forum and the people on here, I don't see any problem with him being able to up the pills and really put a hurting on some people.

I know of an F body that weighs 3500 lbs. Combo is 416 11.5 :1, L92 /Ported L76, 200 shot, 4l60E SS4000, 9 in with 3.89. Has went 6.0 in 1/8th and 9.40 1/4 blowing thru converter. Now has a better converter for his combo and going in for retune so should see some 5.80's or so once it is sorted out. So you should be able to get where you want to be.
