Well we are taking the car out this weekend to run an WCHRA Outlaw 8.5 race here in California. Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield to be exact. We are on a brand new MT 26x8.5's and its gonna be hot 95 degrees, 2500 DA so it should be fun....
Got about 100lbs all off the nose of the car over the past two weeks with K-member and manual rack and cutting misc metal off. Ill post some pictures tomorrow probably and try to keep everyone updated.
I want it to run about a 5.77-5.78 and think I can if we can get these 8.5's to go 1.30-1.32 like we should. Jets in the plate right now are 72N 1st and 62N 2nd, call it what you want to HP wise but she should fly. Wish us luck!

F body junkie if you're doing that pull your whole motor/trans and bring it up here this fall along with a wiring harness and your ecm. Put it in my car, and we can go pimp slap it to death at atco in november
If you've seen the build thread, you know the only thing you could probably put it in and go faster would be a rail, or a prostock car ![The Jester](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_jest.gif)

Good luck camscam.Let me know what you do. What is the dang record anyway now? Ive been out for a month the heat here in missouri is killing the track 103 everyday.
so we have just been working on the car trying to tweak it. I finally got the nitrous wired up and the dedicated in. Oreded a rollover bar for it and redoing the cage.
We weighed the car with stock z28 seats and stock a arms and some other weight we could still cut out it weighed 2970 with no driver. Im hoping to cut more out if we have time.
We made only 2 pases fighting a voltage problem tuning it na and it ran 11.3@122 w a 1.90 60ft LOL on just the 2nd tune I wrote for it with it breaking up with voltage diping to 10 volts so we called it a night. Come to find out we had a cut wire in harness so thats fixed. The 60ft was bad because its super fat out of the hole and stock rear sway bar.
I think the car will go high 10s na. Car spins to 7500 shifting so its write thanks Brad N. for the help.
I will keep you guys posted we will probally take it to lsx in indy and run it.

Well nothing fun to report. Had problems all day. We had truck problems on the way and ended up missing the 1st qualifier. 2nd qualifier with the track at 140 degrees and brand new tires and no data it didnt move 5 feet and spun and I peddled it and qualified 15 out of 18 cars.
First round made some changes and won on a holeshot (.029 part) went only 1.47 6.13 117 with me peddling it again.
2nd round we had a nitrous line break before heading up to the lanes, we fixed it quickly but I had to change my routine and forgot to arm the system and the car left like and ran on motor and we were done. That was going to be a good pass but oh well.
When I got back, I shut it off at the trailer and one of the nitrous lines came apart totally... scariest thing I have ever heard, line banged the hood and released all 900psi that was in the line left. Luckily I had the quarter turn valve closed... that was some scary stuff. Ill post the picture

Stuff happens, and you learn and move on from it. We will be back out soon to get some revenge on that damn 8.5... The most frustrating thing is if I would have remembered to arm the system I should of got the win, had the holeshot and the other car only went 6.00. we had a high 5.80 tuneup in the car and the track was finally coming around...

Cam can you show me how you have your purge set-up with the 2 nitrous solenoids?
I have a 'friend' who needs to know how to set it up. Do you just purge the main line since he has a Y like you do and not worry about hooking up the second nitrous solenoid to the purge?

Going out again this weekend to race at the famous Pomona Dragstrip for the NMCA Wests event. Running 8.5 again and hopefully gonna have a good weekend. Its still hot out here with about 3000+ DA so dont expect crazy numbers, but were still shooting for 5.80's in this weather. Just got to get it all to the ground on the 8.5.
Huge thanks to all the boys at Nitrous Express for getting me all squared away with some new pieces after the troubles a couple weeks ago. Couldn't ask for better support from an awesome company! Thanks for everything guys!
