Adding & Tuning 2nd stage?
I've got a bunch of parts left over from previous N20 kits & I've got a complete kit from Nitrous Express but its for a sport bike that has 4 little pirahna wet nozzles it has jets from 16-26 sizes but i'm worried on where to guess for jets for a 8 cyl car.
Any suggestions?
HSW says a 50 jet is 0.039
Brand X chart says 50 jet is 0.035
Nitrous Outlet says 50 jet is 0.035
Nitrous Express says 50 jet is 0.035
My calculator says 50 jet is 0.036
They suggested
175 = 72N/36F jets
200 = 72N/38F jets
250 = 82N/42F jets
Fbodyjunkie brought up a good point, does anyone know how much the NOS brand "super powershot" noids flow? Thats currently what i'm using & they are tiny. I know the original kit they came on 150hp was the max jetting that was supplied.
Heck if this plate will actually flow that much i'll stick with the 1 stage plate. What do you guys think?
The "trashcan" solenoid that people refer to, is a huge, .157 orifice solenoid and is not offered in any kit, directly from NOS. It is strictly an upgrade solenoid and is the "super big shot" part number 16010. Myself and others do offer this in some kits, but as stated, NOS does not.
No kit combination, would come from NOS, with a "cheater" plate and a "super pro-shot" solenoid. If that is what some are getting, this is some parts that someone else is pieceing together
Hope that clears up any solenoid confusion

I'm thinking of 2 staging mine, one on at 3k the 2nd on at 3500-4k just to soften the hit a little.

For example my nitrous noid has a .125 orifice! That's HUGE compared to yours!!!
You need to call Nitrous Outlet and order some new solenoids.
That plate should flow 300hp don't you think Dave?
No matter which of there plates you have, due to there design you will probably have to use a shorter fuel hose than the nitrous hose.
Like stated above the .075 solenoids max flow between 175-200 hp.
Easy way to tell if your plate will flow the hp would be to do a flow consumption test.
Dave
Jet the plate for a 200 shot. There is a known pounds per hour for a true 200hp rating. If the bottle after the run doesn't use the known pounds per hour for a true 200hp rating then it's not going to flow more than what they say at 150.
Yeah Dave i agree, I was looking a bit closer at HSW website, I don't know if the "Sudden Impact" plate is the same as the "Brute Force" plate. Cuz as you stated, SI plate flows 150 & the BF plate flows 200 or so.... they won't return my email about the correct info yet......
