i havent looked at the plugs yet. i just made a quick 2-3 gear pull on the highway to test it out. I usually get the afr where i want it then i pull the plugs and verify the tune is ok.

I do not have any leaks, i checked everything over when i swapped the line, the nitrous is definitely coming on. it hits hard and pulls hard and it doesnt hesitate at the top of the gear like it did with the -4 line. i do have the purge hooked up and i made sure to purge the air out before i have the pull.

Is a 88 and 44 usually rich?
C16's burns a lot slower than pump gas and it will richen the tune up by itself. A lot.

Not trying to high jack the thread but how come know one uses the vp nos specific fuel? Everyone seems to just run c16 or sunoco 110

I noticed that! I changed the jet to a 40 and its much better now, its around 11.5-11.8 afr so im going to put the 39 jet in and i should be good to go.

Several reasons at least in my case.

1) I don't have near enough compression or jet size to warrant a 118-120 octane fuel.
2) It's expensive as ****, 18 bucks a gallon isn't cheap by any means.
3) I can get Sunoco 110 .85 miles from my house out of the pump for 7.00 bucks a gallon.

When I put a good set of heads on here(hopefully by end of september) with the compression I want(12:1) I will be running at the least a 116 octane fuel, but it will most likely be Renegades Ratman RMK-123 123 octane fuel and it's around 13.50-14 a gallon. They also have a 120 octane nitrous fuel that is 10-12 bucks a gallon versus 18-22 bucks a gallon for C23 or VP NO2 which is ridiculous if you ask me.

I am going to try to get away with a 116 octane fuel, but I will probably end up needing something a little more, maybe not though.

Sounds good, seems like you got it figured out now.

A lot of people get caught up in the amount of jet spread that they have and that it's too much.

Each engine combo will be different!

I can't catch a ******* break.

It's raining here

Pissed off and pissed on by the rain. I should of ran my car on Thursday when it said 70% chance of rain and 79 degrees and it didn't rain a ******* drop versus today when it was going to be 85 and 20% chance of rain and it's pouring every 30 minutes and weather channel shows a massive rain/thunder storm coming around 6:30 till 9:00.

FML I'm going to be at the bottom of the damn list by the time I can run my car again. Not that it will really matter with everyone else coming out with their combo's with ported heads, higher compression etc.

I need some more horsepower and a good clear cool day.

Have a contact who informed me of a stock short block nitrous car that went 5.66@122 this weekend. 2600lb race weight on a 250 shot(88 pill).

I believe not only is that the stock shortblock nitrous record but also the ssb record period!

I can't wait to see ya do it too Cam!

These runs were done on a 28x9 Hoosier from what I was told and 13* total timing on race gas, I'd say they have some room to grow on the tune-up.

on a second note, I got a 5.3 pullout from a buddies truck for $250 bucks (gonna swap in the black car), So I have yet another ls1 long block. We haz sparezzz. Gonna put new bearings and rings(open up the gap too) in the one I'm pulling out, it has ARP rod bolts as well. Throw on the TFS heads with ARP studs and my nitrous cam in. My 95 has a long way to go, so if you want to take a crack at it we can swap it in your car and put some tripple digit jets in there and hurt some feelings..... I was just reading that thread.

Maybe Thadd and I can talk Paul into letting me and him use the dual car trailer for mine and his car and do this damn thing!

Hell if Matt races though we are all screwed!!!!!!

.110 jet sounds good to me.......in the first kit

matt's car might run .20's with that turbo, but unless he swapping it out for that one race, I doubt that He'll be much faster than that. Not to mention there isnt a stupid 82 jet restriction in that race either..... We can REALLLY find the limit of the stock short block then LOL .110 in the first stage and then a "clean up" stage as they say.
