NOS pills
I have the NOS kit for LS1 in my 2000 SS and was wanting to know a few things. Two sets of pills came with the kit... size 28 and 30. The kit claims 75-125 adjustible HP. ANyways I ordered the 32 size pills so am I now running 125 shot with the 32's? Does anyone know of the HP numbers on the NOS kit for each pill size? Thanks for the info guys!

Re: NOS pills
On that Nos dry set up if you have the solenoids ran in series(in one solenoid then through the next.I guess for safty of sticking open?) like it tells you to in directions you are limited to the .070 orfice in the solenoid. you have to separate the solenoids(one solenoid for each nozzle)now you can go .070 on each side.I ran .036x2 last year and with a converter it went 11.67 @115 mph Iwouldn'y go any bigger than that I never had a computer on mine but when I went bigger it didn't get any more mph a good sign your getting a little too lean. Hope that helps.

Re: NOS pills
Mine is set up like you said. Going through one solenoid to the next. But you said that it can handle up to .07 without changing to sperate solenoids. according to the chart 383LQ4SS gave me, that is well beyond 150 horse right? I thinking I must be wrong here so please corrected me. thanks

Re: NOS pills
The NOS Super Powershot 'noids are rated for 175HP. They have a 0.073 orifice. Getting 175 through one is optimistic though considering once you consider the plumbing in the rest of the system. In theroy, with the 'noids in series you can get 175 total HP (roughly 85hp per nozzle). Rich is talking about running the 'noids in parrallel - one per nozzle - which would give you a potential 350HP system.
FYI...
Cheater N2O solenoids have a 0.090 orifice
ProShot N2O solenoids have a 0.110 orifice

Re: NOS pills
Ok I am a little confused right now I am running the series system where it goes through both noids before spliting into two. If I have 32 pills in there now what HP am i pulling? What size do I need for 125 shot? Thanks everyone for all the help

Re: NOS pills
In the chart that 383lq4ss listed above .032 x2 is 100hp for 125 it says to use .038 x2 = 125hp(that is what he posted I'm not sure if that is right but sounds close). Now if you multiply .038 x 2 it equals .076wich is larger than the .073 hole in the solenoids. Like I said above to run jets that big you will have to use one solenoid for each nozzle to do it the fitting between the solenoids has a 1/8" pipe plug remove it install the -4 screened inlet fitting there. now remove the first solenoid which is the one you just took the screened fitting out of turn it around so that the inlet side is now on the tee. now all you need is two -4 or -3 (can't remember what size line it uses) to 1/8" pipe fittingsinstall them on each of the solenoid outlets.Your nitrous feed line will now go between the two solenoids and the lines going to the nozzles will go on each end. any questions email me your phone number and I could better explain it.

Re: NOS pills
Hey guys,thanks for that information!!
I'm using the nos-5177 kit,i put .036's
in and wanted .044's to make 150hp.Now i
realize my system is at its limit!
Considering the orifice size at .073 and i'm
at .072!

Re: NOS pills
Your welcome Jam SS.Just tring to help. Man .044 jets I thought I was leaning out with the .036's with the mafs for the dry kit. I think you might need a bigger set of injectors if you don't already. Good luck. Rich

Re: NOS pills
Rich - I understand what you are saying to get 125 HP shot but why would NOS say that it is an adjustable kit of 75 to 125 if you had to do all that? Do you think they had this in mind for the customer to have to do this in order to get their claimed "125" shot? I really appreciate all the info! Thanks

Re: NOS pills
I don't know what they are thinking. The kit I had was adustable 75,85,100 there ia not a listed setting for 125. The kit I had was nos part #5177 for the ls1. The ad in the catalog says 75 to 125 but that covers all the nos kits listed in the ad not just the ls1. You have to go by the directions you have not the ad.Hope this helps.Rich

Re: NOS pills
gotcha! It all makes sense now. Cause when I had my kit installed (had to let someone else do it cause i am at college and have no tools) the guy was talking about 75 and then 85 and I was thinking he did not know what he was talking about. So its clear to me now. thanks

Re: NOS pills
Agreed that NOS is wacked out on this one. The 5177 only include jets up to 100 shot, so you have to get your own separatly if you want to go that route. It's probably some wierd liability issue they're worried about.
