Default Our 479 LSx nitrous install

I thought I would show off our Nitrous Outlet Direct port we just installed on our shop car project.

If you remember our combination last time, we were running a 403ci LS2 with a 300 shot and ran a best of 9.41 @ 145 mph. This was 3 years ago..
Now we are running an 479ci LSx block, PRC 285 LS7 heads and a mild hyd roller set up.
The car has our 9" and just about every trick piece of hardware we and our vendors offer.

Here is our new Ryan Beck (Burgers) engine.

Our new nitrous kit from Nitrous Outlet. I'd like to thank Dave and Chris for putting up with our gotta have it next day pestering and excellent customer service!

Follow along as we install and test this nitrous system, there will be some good tech in here.

Thanks
Chris

We installed twin Nitrous Outlet ceramic bottle heaters, these things are sweet!

Today we will be drilling and installing the direct port nozzles.

Ok folks, all done and ready to bolt the intake back on the car for wiring and final plumbing.

Here is a run down of all we did.

First step was locating where the nozzles would go.

Then we had to drill and tap the fitting holes into the Nitrous Outlet fuel rails.
We are fortunate to have a cnc mill that made quick work out of this.
The fuel rails come extra long so you can cut them to a shorter length if you want. We cut ours to 12" long.
That gave us plenty of room to space the fittings out so they were easy to get to and we could also put the solenoids on each end without hitting anything.

I've got a video of doing this on our cnc mill I'll upload later.

Now we start bending and running the tubes

And now it's ready to bolt the intake back on the car to finish up the wiring and supply lines.
We will also now be installing our stand alone fuel system.

Never did use the nitrous, it wasnt running right and was smoking every pass.
We pulled the heads when we got back and found we had a couple valves contact the pistons on 1 & 2. Pretty sure we did it on the dyno when we got the engine running.
It went a 10.05 @ 133 on the motor in True Street though. We will have it out at the LSx Shootout and will be spraying it.
