do you guys even HOOK? Ok, i'm going to put on a TNT wet kit (150shot) in the future. That means i'll have 600foot pounds on tap. Will I be able to hook in ANY gear on the street? Since i'm running 4.10s i'm worried I may not even in 4th gear... Should I add 315 Nitto Drags for the street or is it just a futile effort? I don't want to switch to 3.73s!
Re: do you guys even HOOK? I make 533/709 on the TNT 100 shot. With my Nitto 315s, Intrax springs, removed sway bar, and KB DD subs I can hook up prety nice i 2nd gear with warm pavement. Forget first gear though. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: do you guys even HOOK? Don't dump it out of the hole. And you will be much better off with BFG Drag radials than the Nittos. I've run both, and I always spun the Nittos. The BFG's grab like a mother.....

BTW, at the track I run 26 inch ET Streets. I leave around 3500 and roll into the juice. Cutting 1.70s on the stock rear(for now)

Re: do you guys even HOOK? i just cut a 1.59 last friday with a 150 shot. but i was on hoosier qtp's and have 3.73's too. i was almost out of gear with 3.73's, so 4.10's you will probably be on the limiter.

Re: do you guys even HOOK? Haha...its a crap shoot. Ive been running a 150-200 shot spraying right out of the hole with a 5000-5500 rpm clutch dump. My stock rear has held nicely. Of course my best 60' is only a 1.58

Math can solve this question for you. With 4.10's and 600 ft/lbs, in 4th gear you'll 2460 ft/lbs at the axles.
A stock M6 makes 350 ft/lbs, a 2.66 1st gear, and 3.42 rear gears = 3180 ft/lbs at the axles.
So on the juice you're making less torque in 4th than a stocker does in 1st. In reality you make about as much axle torque in 3rd as a stocker does in 1st, so your concerns of spinning the tires in 4th (or 3rd for that matter) are unfounded.

I GUESS THE PRICE ON CRACK IS GOING DOWN, BUT ANYWAY I RAN A 1.31 60FT SPRAYING 250 ON THE LINE ON A T-BRAKE, IF YOU HAVE A STREET CAR AND WANT IT TO WORK ALL THE TIME, USE A DRY SYSTEM WIRE IT UP TO RUN AS A 2 STAGE ABOUT 50 OFF THE LINE 75 IN 2ND, IT CONTROLS TIRE SPIN AND IS EASLIER THAN ONE BIG SHOT WHICH WILL 1/2 THE TIME SPIN, USE A BFG DRAG RADIAL OR A HOOSIER QUICK TIME PRO DOT THOSE HOOK HARD STREET OR TRACK
