Today the headers showed up from Stainless Works... And by headers I mean, a box of tubing with some flanges and collectors..
Madman got us all the rear suspension and shocks on Monday.

I got most of the intake manifold ported today, need to do some more work on it tomorrow and Saturday and it will be ready to ship to Induction Solutions.
Flat-Out Gaskets will be making us a custom set of intake manifold and header gaskets, they will also be supplying us with head gaskets. Great people to deal with.

By the weekend, the whole rear suspension will be out. And the mock up block will be in it to start making the headers..

Also this weekend WhiteLTone's car travels to Midwest Chassis for some updates, and Jenny Craig.

Thanks, it's definitely going to be a pain in my *** for sure! Jon is getting the mock up stuff put in the car today, so next week we will start throwing tubes together and see what we can make!

Well I have good news and bad news with the current status of this project..

The good news is we are still trucking along, I got the manifold ported this weekend, Jon got a lot more of the car cut out and now the whole rear end is ready for the tin work to be put in...

"bad news"- We are not going to be a nitrous car anymore..
After a lengthy roadtrip with my buddy WhiteLTone on Sunday, and discussing current engine combo's for Real Street.. This car will now have a CDS gear drive, turning a F1C Procharger..
It will be on gasoline with an A2W intercooler from Chiseled Performance. And it will have a custom Quick Fuel blow through carb......for now......
We will switch the car to EFI, but we feel that is just TOO MUCH going on all at once right now..

Also want to thank ATVRacer for his input as well in the last couple of days.. I think this car could very well run in the top 5 in Real Street with this current combo..
It will also make us a better fit for Ultra Street..

Another nitrous car gone to the dark side!

Boost is a total different animal. It is too addictive. If nitrous is cocaine, then boost is crack.

No problem, I have said from day one someone is going to build a blower car and come wreck that class. I hope it's you guys!
Good luck.

I have a feeling there will be a few blower cars this year. Sounds good. What will it weigh?

Looks like the rules will have us around 3250.. I think the Cathedral port rule is vague, I would say we could be 3200 with that weight break... However we will come prepared either way.

OEM Cathedral Port head deduct 50 lbs.

IMHO, I read this as OEM design... Because it does not say it has to be a factory casting, it just says OEM cathedral port... Which our Dart heads maintain factory valve angle, and cathedral port design, an LS1 manifold would bolt to this head no problem..

Default Update

Stayed late tonight at the shop and got going on the front of the car. Block is in for mock to start on headers. I also started cut away about 10lbs of sheet metal and body filler! Back end is all cut out, just gotta smooth some stuff out and start on the aluminum. Should definetly have a lot more progress over the weekend.
