Ok i read that some of you are running a single .064 jet and claim its 100hp. Now ive seen a chart on another board that says on a single nozzle set-up that a .047 is a 100hp and a .064 jet would be somewhere around 150hp. so which single jet is gonna be worth around 100hp? than

I am running a single .064 jet spraying into the airbox away from the MAF. It gives me about 95RWHP, so I call the .064 jet a 100HP shot. Your best bet to find out exactly how many HP your kit is making is to dyno your car...

The RWHP gains with the NOS 5177 kit are dependant on several factors.
1) Single or dual nozzle
2) Placement of nozzle(s)
3) Type of nozzle(s)
4) The car ths kit is being installed in (mods)
5) Bottle pressure
NOS only rates the 5177 kit with a dual nozzle configuration plumbed in the standard position. Like I said before, install the kit and dyno on and off the bottle.
Everything else is pure speculation and 'hear-say'.

engine HP is at the flywheel and a .47 jet should get that at about 1000 psi of bottle presure. You will be lucky to see 75 HP at the rear wheels with an auto trans. The .64 jet will get you about 130 HP at the fly wheel and like his dyno sheet said 95 HP at the rear wheels. Hope this clears up the confusion. NOS kits are always claiming more HP than you really see. NX and TNT kits are rated at rear wheel HP and what they caim is what you see.

95RWHP X 1.15 = ~110Crank HP for a M6 car
95RWHP X 1.20 = ~115Crank HP for a A4 car
NOS's ratings are truly meaningless... only the dyno will tell exactly what HP you are really picking up.

Ok , on that same note , I have the same kit with the duel nozzle in the standard location with #36 jets in each nozzle and dynoed this past weekend , that netted me 82 RWHP gain ! What jets in this duel setup do I need to go 100 to the wheels ?

Try dynoing with the next step up in jet size, I would say a .040 should give you about 100 or so to the wheels. Let us know how you make out.

I have done .032 jets, leaves something to be desired. Got a pair of .040 jets I am using on the DYNO Saturday. So I can WATCH the A/F ratio like a hawk. Not wanna lean it with THOSE big jets in there BOOM!

Based on everything I have read and heard, our cars (98-02 F-body) when using a reasonable amount of spray (125 or less RWHP) alomst always run rich with the NOS 5177 dry kit. That's one of the reasons the dry kits tend to make less HP than the equivalent wet kit. It's much harder to 'lean out' a car with a dry kit than a wet kit. Like most people I don't mind running a little rich on the spray even it means sacrificing a couple HP.

If your worried about running lean I have a mass air flow sensor for the dry kit it is on a 5% fatter fuel curve. with this mafs dual .36 jets a 2800 rpm stall, asp pulley and a set of bfgdrs. I ran 11.64 with no kr and didn't lean out at all. I am asking $200.00 email me at rsschuler@netzero.net

Will know with .040 jets do TOMMOROW on the rollers. Ran 8.27@89mph last night with the .032s in. Picked up .4 sec and 6 MPH in the 8th running 2.0x sixties. 7s should be in the bag with a GOOD launch

Car pulled 429RWH/512RWT with the .040 jets. Pulled 324/335 N/A. Got a little lean on the initial hit soo I am gonna back down to around .036-8 jets to keep it safe without a MAFT!
