OP, i'm not sure what mods you have, and since you don't know what your n/a timing is at, I highly suggest you pull some timing with the LNC-2000 instead of the race gas only idea. Run the BR7's as well. I'm basically going to be doing a very similar thing here, only i'm having mine thrown on the dyno to measure a/f and n/a timing. You might want to consider that for safety as well

I have wideband so I can monitor AFR but timing is my main concern.

If you have just bolt ons I wouldn't be nearly as concerned with timing, but if have more aggressive heads and cam work done I would be more concerned

well thats the thing. I got as is with partior stage 2 heads and 224/224 cam and it is tuned. SD only. I know it tuned and im pretty sure timing had been advanced, the question is how much...

Yeah man, you are basically in the same boat as me then. My car came as is (all the mods in my signature) and I have no clue where my timing is at either. But for less than a $100 my tuner will check both a/f and timing...I just feel more comfortable know that lol

I understand your still have your 5.7 where mine is 5.3 so I dont worry about it that much. I can take on a little more rist lol. thats also why when I sprayed last nite I aimed low with 102 race gas and tried to read plugs to get an idea if im in somewhat safe zone with my timing. Ill change plugs and make a few more passes tonight hopfully and see how they look. If it all look ok, ill leave it as is for this racing season since Im planning to go turbo over winter anyways.

depending on where you are most head/cam setups usually end up around 28ish degress total timing if it has been tuned by a shop, if you are at that you should be concerned if you spraying nitrous on that without pulling timing.

6 new photos I added to my 1st post. Guys tell me what you think. I rejettet to 26 fuel and 46 n2o, Still ran rich in 10 arf zone. I dont really get why. Though the hit felt so must stronger and i stayed in full 2nd and 3rd gear. Nitrous bottle pressure started at 1000 psi and each run would drop to 900 psi. I think im running low on nitrous. Made two full pulls in 2-3 gears. Again all done on 102 race gas. BR7ef plugs. Timing mark looks actually right on the money from what I see. Its nice and tight close to the tip of the ground strap.

You're going to have to address the A/F issue you have before you figure out the timing. With it running so fat you aren't able to pick up a good heat reading. I have a feeling once you get it around 11.5 that timing mark is going to move a good bit.

Also, where are you getting your jetting from?

http://www.robietherobot.com/NitrousJetCalculator.htm
and just researched on here.
so you think im not getting all the power out of this shot running rich? the timing looks ok as is. I might play with it a little more to see if leaning it out will effect timing much. Also do you think having a bottle pressure drop 1000 to 900 has something to do with it. I gotta go back and watch a vid of those passes but I think when i fist hit it, its at 11.0 and then as pressure drops and goes even richer. Id want to be in 11.5 zone to be safe and still get the most power out of it. Ill get a full bottle and try again and it ill still be below 11.5 i'll step down in fuel jet size

What type of kit are you using? What size shot are you wanting? What is your flowing fuel pressure?

fuel is 58-60 psi running and same at wot. I want to go as high at timing will allow me to lol. I dont want to invest in any timing boxes right now. Its a low $ fun car. Nos kit is a mix of random stuff i could put together. Power shot fuel and big or pro shot nitrous soliniod if i can remember correctly, single NOS foggger.

Well, at 60PSI a 75 shot is a 41 Nitrous jet and a 22 fuel jet.

So at 46/26 what do you think the shot is? are you trying for a 100? that would be a 52N/28F. That 26 fuel jet you're running is why you're rich.
