Default 490/630 on a 100 tnt shot..update-track times

finally think i got some problems worked out. made 490 hp and 630 tq on a tnt 100 wet shot.

we tried the 150 and it didnt pick up power like it should, so i am not sure whats wrong there. i hope that 490 is enough to get me 10's tomorrow at our track rental.

got my hals on and fred is working with e fresh set of hoosiers! I AM READY!

i made 473hp / 630 TQ thru stock heads w/ a T1 cam and FLP's. that all thru a B&B muffler (no cut-out) w/ no cats and 3.73's.
TNT rocks.

ran it on the juice yesterday at MIR.

first pass on the 100 shot was a 11.16 @ 124 with a 1.51 60 foot. it felt great.

shifting a m6 on the juice is work! finally got a 11.01 @ 125. ran 11.01 back to back, thought for sure i was finally going 10's, but i guess it just wasnt in the cards for me.

my friends wife got an excellent shot of the car with the wheel about 8 inches off the ground. it was a new personal best all the way around....1.51, 11.01, and 125 mph.

Nice times Brian <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Can you post your picture? I need a new background picture for my computer <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> When does the 200 horse unit go on it?

Evil....man your not kidding about shifting the M6 on juice being work. I had a tough time with mine at first. Dropped nearly a half second with practice alone. You have a ten in the bag with a few more runs under your belt.

i am going to go friday and run in street trim, and see how she does. 26x10.5x16 et streets on chrome t/a wheels. might have to dial fred in a little so not to kil l the tires.

i was running a 27x11.5 hoosier qtp. they work great on my car with the 3.73's and juice.

i have no way to post the pic, but i can email it to you.

before i do the 200, i need to figure out whats up with my fuel system. i am thinking of getting the ARE or tnt double pump setup this week. the 150 shot was in and out on the dyno because the fuel pressure was spiking down to 50-52, so i am not going to mess with it till i get more fuel pump.

the double pump comes from ARE. the price is 500 and you supply your stock hanger. barry said 2 week turnaround. so now i need a stock hanger so i dont have to be down for 2 weeks!

Got a couple questions about juice:

My ARE 436 motor should put out close to 500 RWHP N/A. Lets just say it does. If I put a 200 shot on it, does that necassarily mean I'll be putting down 700 RWHP? And why is torque affected more than HP?

Also, if my car go's 10's with it's N/A power, what will it do with a 200 shot?

Thanks

if you made 500 on motor and used a tnt or nx kit for a 200 shot, you would make 700, maybe a little more, maybe a little less. there are lots of things that factor into that power.

my motor is built for nitrous, and on a 75 shot, it made 90 and on a 100 shot it made 130.

you better make sure your fuel system is up to it, and your drivetrain. and another thing you will probably need is a progressive controller of some sort. you will make in the 800 ft lb of tq range, so that will kill a normal set of slicks.

what gears do you have, and what was your rpm's through the traps? I am trying to figure out if I want to get 26 or 28" slicks.
