Default low rpm nitrous

Ok I have a turbo 4.8 and needless to say it is laggy at the track with my stock stall and 4l80. I was wanting to see your guys oppion on sprayining out of the hole at say 1200 rpm until boost so to maybe 3500. This would be a 75wet.

I would discourage this since you would be getting around 330 RWTQ INCREASE at the hit and air velocity would be low which would encourage fuel pooling. That stock stall has to go.

I wouldn't spray below 2500-3000 RPM...you want to try to avoid spraying nitrous at low rpm's because it puts a tremendous load on the internal engine components.

Thanks,
Garrett

Instead of installing a whole nitrous system and adding weight, just do this and its probably cheaper to do. You can PM denmah for more info

Im waiting to see it used a bit more befor I consider using the poor mans t brake. The nitrous I already have it hooked. I only payed 75$ for the kit from a friend. Im not in the position to drop 1200 on a converter. I know some say yes to the spray at low rpm but I have always been told no. So thanks for the input

If your willing to take the risk! It will help it spool lowest I would set it is at 2k, like said alot more strain bottom end. Just beating it up. Hate to see you knock a rod bearing out.

Not that many people are running 4l80's and using this technique so you are most likely not going to see many people doing this.

You could just try all the other tricks such as bigger rear brakes, using the ebrake to help it at the line, optimizing the timing and fuel at low rpm to help spool the turbo easier.
