03 cobra forced me to do it!!
I would say go with the NOS kit if your only going to run a 75 shot.Im running a 80 shot and picked up 7mph and 8tenths.Only problem I have is that I cant spray until the top of first or else <img border="0" alt="[burn out]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_burnout.gif" />
I raced an 03 Cobra a while back that has a upper pully and k&n filter. from a roll at 30 mph we were dead even untill my shift light came on in 4th at 6500 rpm,s. from a stop with him on stock f1's and me on Nittos , I had him by 4 cars . He recently put nittos on and the first pass he broke a half shaft. I have not heard if he has ran again since it's fixxed, but this is an impressive car. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" /> to Ford on the 03 Cobra. My mods in sig are the same as when I ran him except I have added a ascd ws6 hood and I added skinnies for the last outing. I did not open the cutout or put on the short belt to run him either ,just street trim.
Nohting personal, but mae sure everything is running right. My car very close to stock, full weight was about dead even with 03 cobra. my car a 02 ws6 m6. But cobra was also stock.
I caught up with that Cobra this weekend again and he told me before we raced he went a SLOW 12.7 @ 115... But this week he just added a smaller pulley and had better track cond. and went 12.0 @ 120mph!!! Nice... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />
Go with a tnt kit and make sure you get a bottle heater and window switch. But the cobra is way easy to modify also. A local guy here ran some 11.40's with just 600.00 in extra parts. They do rock.
I too went down to an 03 Cobra last week...I had just got my NX gemini done that day, and only had the 50 shot in (just to try it out). He had 14lb pulley, chip, and full exhaust. He put 3 cars on me on motor...I opened the bottle and we were right next to each other. It was a great race actually...this friday he'll meet my 100 shot jets <img border="0" alt="[punch]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_punch.gif" />
Alot of people are telling me if i am just going to run a small 75 shot now and then that the NOS 5177 kit will do me fine.. Cause i really wont even use it often cause honestly nothin else at the races can touch me with my bolt ons and drag radials.. I just raced a 00 ws6 with borla, 4.10 gears and lid. I got him by atleast 4 cars.

i raced an 03 silver cobra in philly about 2 weeks ago with kooks headers and x pipe... he also has alot more work done including pullies and all the other little things that can be done if its the same guy. He beat my 99 ws-6 by about a car length but i wasnt spraying <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> and yes its true all mustang owners (at least down in philly) are complete a-holes.

We have a 03 Cobra in my area with those same mods.. I have put many cars on him.. He even started a thread on our local board asking for advice on what mod to do next to beat me. NX Kit is getting installed to make sure he never wins.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Going back to the FORD GUYS! How many GM's have super chargers on them, from the factory....none! but the good old ford guys seem to think they need them. Anything to compete with the GM guys huh?

Don't even bring the Cobra R into this discussion about making power. For 50k it better make some power. The thing doesn't even have power anything or a radio. They built that good handling racecar and told Chevy to bring on the vette...well they got the Z06 which is faster, better handling, and cheaper than the cobra R. No problem with the rest of your argument. I think the 03 cobras are badass.
Had a Dodge Dart GTS with cam and other mods...Pretty quick car it was, so I thought. A rusty old Ford Falcon stationwagon pulled along side, then proceeded to blow my doors off! Whew!!
