Last night was the last straw. I got rolled by an 03 cobra by 2 cars! DAMN! I have an 02 Firehawk m6 with most bolt on's headers, cat back, mass air etc.. I want a effective and safe kit. Only want to run a 75 shot.. What kit would u recomend also what add ons should i get, window switch, new plugs?? also do i need to mess with my timing?? please REPLY, thanks, <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />

 

Get the TNT F1 kit. Window switch. You don't need to take out timing if your not currently getting any KR. Don't get a dry kit! I wouldn't turn spray on before 3000 rpm. BYE BYE cobra.

I am sorry but is the F-1 kit the universal kit?? or should i get the one made directly for the LS1?

 

If you have a full bolt on, M6 car a STOCK 03 Cobra shouldn't have really outran you by that much. But hey SPRAY the HOUSE DOWN on him!

My vote goes to the NX wet kit IF you would like to go wet. IF NOT I would definately go with the NOS 5177 Dry system. Also add a bottle heater and remote opener.

Get a TNT F1 kit...the NOS Dry #5177 is lame compared to the TNT kit.
And as far as Cobra's go....yawn. They paid too much for too little. Fastest one in town has $6K in Mods, and wont run a mid 11. Just breaks parts trying.
But I still think they are awesome cars, they just need a solid 9 inch rearend, and a better clutch/tranny setup. Hell, a good 4 speed automatic, with a loose converter would make them unbeatable.

 

HE told me the cobra had cook headers h-pipe, cat back, and some intake work. So i new it was going to be quick..

My vote goes to the NX Kit, and defenetly change to colder plugs. Most nitrous guys run the NGK TR6'S which are 2 steps colder then stock. Very safe. 75 shot with those plugs will be VERY safe. <img border="0" alt="[gruffy cottonball]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_gruffy.gif" />

I would say NX 100 or 125 shot wet. TNT is an awesome kit as well.


FYI, im gonna run my buddy this weekend on a 150shot in my car, 99 a4 w/2.73's, dynomouth, LID, FTRA, and other mods, my stall isnt in yet. His 03 cobra put down 433whp and went 12.4@116. Should be a good race from a roll.

 

Didnt mean to affend anyone with that comment. Was just trying to make a point that the 03 Cobra is easy to modify. And I am not just some dumb FORD LOVER, I actually love the LS1 engine and car as a whole. I would rather have an LS1 over say a GT any day.

i think with nitrous you should be able to kill him. Go with with the nitrous and you will love it.

TNT is a very good kit thats what I use when I raced an 03' cobra beat him by a 1/2 car length in my camaro

(Oh yea I had 135,000 miles on my LT1 when I did it as well) (200hp dry)
