How much for N2O install???

I'm debating on whether to get LT headers for my car next month or N2O...and was wondering how much it would cost to have nitrous installed and tuned on my 98 Vette. I see the kits out there that I'm looking for is going to be around $800-900...but need to figure the install cost as well.

I've heard that some shops will do it for $200-$300.

I made the same decision as you earlier this year. I went with nitrous, as I felt I'd get more bang for the buck. I plan on adding some LT's later.

Just out of curiousity, have you considered installing the nitrous yourself? I had zero experience installing a kit, and was able to do it myself, with minimal problems.

I have seen shops do it for like 300 bucks..In my opinion if you are getting a dry kit save the money and do it yourself instructions are pretty good with the Dry NOS kit just take your time and save yourself if you get stuck we are all here to help you .and look at the bright side extra 300 bucks that could go toward your LTs

I charge $200 bucks for Nitrous kit install. If you knew how easy it was to install nitrous, you would tell me to buy a gun and hold up old ladies, because its more respectable. Its robbery not to do it yourself. The NOS dry kit is the easiest kit to install on the market today.
I have the TNT Conversion F1 kit, and it took me about 2 hours, with a cigarette break every 30 minutes included.
I installed the NX kit in a buddies Z-28, and it took me about 5 hours for the basic kit. Then I another 2 hours of wiring the bottle heater and remote opener.
Take pride in doing it yourself!!! Dont hand over your hard earned money to a nitrous install shark like me. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I gotta tell ya that my install sucked ***. It took me forever! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> That's just because I didn't know what I was doing though. I felt like I was re-inventing the wheel. I fabbed up a bottle bracket for the spare tire well too. I was quoted roughly $500 for a complete install (minus a custom bottle bracket). I laughed and did it myself. Fortunately I had all you guys to help me out. I'm still working out the kinks, but I've run 3 bottles through so far.

how much time would be added to the NX dry kit if i added in the bottle opener, warmer, fpss, purge kit, window switch, blowdown valve, and switch in the ash tray in the interior? thats the real question whats worrying me about my install cuz i have NO experience working with anything electrical or wiring anything....

oh and also, how hard is it to do the wiring on the things like the interior switch, WOT switch, window switch, etc etc (assuming i have no experience)? does it require any electrical prowess?, cuz i aint got none <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
