Default super vic or elbow

Not sure where to put this but i originally was going to a fast 102 intake and Tb with a nitrous outlet 102 plate nut ran into problems. It want work with my mezeire water pump. A friend of mine suggested the supper Vic and 4150 Tb or supper Vic with elbow and 102 Tb. Can anyone help point me in the right direction as what would be better ? Thanks

I would run a super vic with a 4150 throttle body over a fast 102 any day. But u may need to change the cam to get the full benefits of the super vic. Also u will need an aftermarket hood and clearance the cowl to make it all fit

You'll have to deal with issues either way... Super Vic.

How streetable are the 4150?
Are their any flow issues with the cyl from the 4150 vs elbow/ 102 tb?

You'll need a custom cam to take full advantage of the super Vic as well as a new hood. Also do not run an elbow.

I put a super vic/4150tb on my stock ls1. As mentioned, there are clearance issues with the cowl and say goodbye to you're wipers. Intake is overkill on a stock motor but I'll be going turbo this year. Throttle response is amazing, I don't have any negatives as far as street drivability. I even made it work with the ASR/cruise control. Also went with a VFN extended Sunoco pin on hood. So in short, there's a lot of extra costs beyond just the intake, TB, and rails. Something to think about but worth it IMO.

well hell man, super Vic with a 4150 all the way. I currently have a 1" spacer under the TB and a 2" spacer under the air cleaner. Once I got turbo I'll put a 2" under the TB and a extreme velocity carb hat on top.

If your looking for the best performance the single plane intake is miles ahead of a fast intake. Run a 4150 tb no elbow. Are you a sbe, which heads, trans, gear, weight?

I had a fast 90/90 setup. Went to a Super Victor with a 4150 throttle body and didn't pick up anything. It was exactly the same on time and mph. This is with extensive tuning for the super victor since you will have to convert to speed density. The wow factor is better with the super victor since looks cooler.

Did you change your cam when you installed the super vic and 4150 tb?

I didn't for the first season. Then switched to a Martin N2O special. Lost a lot on motor but picked up a ton on the spray.

U will loose power on motor without changing cam when u swap intake. U will also loose more power with a nitrous specific cam on motor also. Just remember without nitrous especially big shots of nitrous u don't have the artifical compression which creates more pressure and more heat. With that being said and running a nitrous specific cam on motor ur letting the exhaust valve hang open longer for no reason..

Lost 3 tenths on motor. Picked up 6 tenths on the spray. I can live with that.
