Default TPS or Switch for activation

Would you use your throttle position sensor or switch for activation? Whats your preference and why?

I use the WOT switch that came with my kit and it works fine, but the TPS should be more reliable in theory

Either is fine to use for system activation. I like the TPS activation because you don't have to worry about mounting a micro switch and getting it adjusted correctly.

I vote for using the TPS for activation over the micro switch too.

We have a C5 so I don't really get a vote. Our TPS switch works wonderfully. I'm glad it's DBW so that we don't have to fool with the switch.

Even if you are DBW you can still use the micro switch you just put it in the foot pedal. That is hoe the my bros Silverado is wired. Mine has a progressive that came with a built in TPS which I prefer.

I think the TPS is safer because if the ECM shuts power do to over rev or for any reason and it closes the TB the nitrous shuts off but if you are using the micro switch it would not because your foot is still holding the pedal to the metal, lol.

well mine is way simple, hand held switch. I don't like a micro switch or a tps. just my preference.

I have my micro switch mounted behind my pedal. It works, but does worry me a bit. I'm thinking about getting the NOS TPS/Window switch

The reason I use a hand held and a foot switch is that if I have a pass thats not "on" and let off I get more spin because the tps or micro switch turns off the nitrous and then back on if I try to recover sometimes causing even more spin because of the hit again. So sometimes I usually keep the first stage on and just control it with my throttle to apply power. If I have to brake to save, well the 2nd stage is off then as its controlled by my left foot (goofy foot driver)
Been using a hand held since 79 I think. That's when Marvin Miller was the big nitrous company lol.

Personally, I prefer using TPS. It'll help simplify your install, and make your hit more reliable. Also, as stated above- if the throttle body closes for any reason, it'll deactivate the nitrous, regardless of where your pedal is.
