Default 100 shot results

Took the truck to the track today for some fun. Ran one n/a pass 7.45 at 92 mph with 1.67 60 ft. Went back to pits and heated bottle up, ran a progressive starting at 30% to 100% over 1.2 seconds and ran 6.83 at 100mph with a 1.55 60 ft on a 100 shot. This converter is diggin the jug! Next time I'm gonna leave on full blast and then see about bumping up the shot.

Nice runs,should pick up a fair amount in the 60' turning the progressive off.

8 mph with that progressive setup on a 100 shot is not bad buddy. Congrats!!

What trans is in the car? My buddy was spraying a 125 shot on a window switch. He set it like a few hundred RPM above his converter stall point. Looking at the logs, it activated like 0.25 seconds after launching. All in, not on a progressive. Pushed him down into the low 1.4s. This was on a SBE aluminum LS1 too. It dropped him from 7.40s to 6.40s. Don't remember the mphs though.

Th350 in a 3,900+ lb truck. I'm going to try and leave on the full hit next time and up the shot to 150

Just thinking out loud here and I know this is a hard question to answer but how much more spray do you think it would take to get this thing to run a 5.xx pass? I know it would prolly take a converter and trans change and possibly a cam and a little weight reduction. I have the budget for another motor so im not afraid to push this one.

Probably 3-350.

I wonder when you will experience critical mixture distribution issues. And how wet airflow losses will affect the way your motor runs.

Not sure on the distribution issue. This truck is very streetable and I drive it around town a pretty good bit. I think I would be badass having this thing run in the 5's on a simple plate setup. The goal for this truck was to run 7's, then 6's, and now I'm wanting 5's haha Snowball!

distribution issues seem to crop up after the 250 shot, 300 and above you start to look at individual cyclinders and such to be safe especially on FI intakes. Since your carbed its a little safer. If your at 7:40 range I don't think 5's is possible yet. What you might find out is 100 150 200 shots are big differences in time and then as you keep trying to go up in shot you will have other factors come into play, cam choice, exhaust, traction lol. Lot of the basic motors respond well to 200 shots easy and then they need to become more specific for nitrous if your trying to go 300 and above to see good gains.

Thanks for the insight man. Yeh I think 5's would definitely be a challenge with this setup. I will probably need more cubes to make it happen. I'm interested to see how my truck responds as I give it more bottle
