Default Why hide your nitrous setup?

Why exactly do people want their nitrous kits hidden? Is it to prevent theft or just to trick people.

I think that visible nitrous setups make the engine bay look awesome..

If I ever went with a nitrous setup I would try to hide it. Just to trick people out.

I hid half of my system. Without the hood open you cannot tell I have it. Now looking back I should have hidden it underhood as well. By the time I got to the underhood part of the install I was thinking "I have spent a decent amount of time and money I'd like to show this off a bit".

It's alot harder to get races when you are on the gas.Everyone wants you to shut it off. So you don't even get to use it half of the time if you want to race.

Hustlin...

Nothing better than having a total of 3 nitrous kits on your car when people only know about 1.

I consider my Formy a sleeper, I also sometimes race for money, I don't really want people to know every thing that my car is packin.

I don't street race or hustle people for money, but I'd like to hide mine just so people won't ask me what I have when I pop the hood. Mainly it's kids.

"WoaahHHhh...dude is that NOS? Hey, he's got NOS. Cooooool."

Sometimes, it's confused with just having a clean install, and not making an already cluttered engine compartment even worse.

Well, when you have 2-fuel cheaters and 2-nitrous cheaters and 8 fogger nozzles 2-purge selinoids and independent fuel system and fuel and nirous gauges you will have a lot of braided lines, hard to hide.
