Default motor cutting out when sprying

a little info on the set up... so I have a 408 stroker and I just put a nitrous express 102 plate system on it. I have a lingenfelter rpm-003 that im using for a window switch activates at 3k off at 6300 I also have the lingenfelter lnc-2000 to retard timing currently set at 4 degrees and kills timing when switch is turned on. running 100 shot to start. both controllers are hooked to a toggle switch. out of the window switch it runs to my wot switch and back to a relay to trigger to send 12v to the gas and 02 solenoids. running ngktr7ix plugs gapped to 36.. inside the throttle plate im using the correct jets n20 52 and gas 27. my gas feed come off my areomotive fuel rail. fuel pressure is regulated at 58. nitrous express told me that's perfectly fine to do seeing there system is set for 55-60 psi. have a bottle warmer set to 1000 psi. ok so now for the problem. today was the first day I tried it out. bottle was filled 2 days ago. when I turn the system on and floor it right as the window switch opens at 3k the truck just cuts out for about half a second. that's the problem doesn't do it anytime after that seeing that the truck doesn't drop below 3k. what I have done to try and figure the problem out. disconnected the ground on both solenoids turn the system on and punch it. truck doesn't miss a beat. connect the ground but leave the n20 off and floor it truck shuts off for a second then come back to life. that first initial shut off is the only time it happens. right when the window switch activates.. im thinking its getting to much gas. I was thinking about dropping a smaller fuel jet in but everyone says not to. I do not have a purge on the system but I did try doing 4-5 wide open pulls with everything activated just to make sure there was nitrous in the line.. any help would be awesome!! if it is easier to call and talk my number 6026953181

So it only happens at 3k and not at any other rpm when engaging the nitrous?

yes only at 3k when the window switch opens and gives power to the solenoids. after that first hiccup seems to run fine. everyone said I really wont feel 100 shot but I can tell a difference. both solenoids are getting power

Gap should be more like 30-32 in my opinion. Does the the fuel pressure stay steady? Do you have a wideband as well? Since its only happening at 3k when the widow switch engages (and not anywhere else) it makes me wonder about the unit itself. How's that window switch setup?

ok ill try the gap and see if that helps. fuel pressue has a slight drop from 58 to 57 but is back to 58 within 1500 rpm. fuel pump is a phantom 340 supports 850 hp N/A. truck makes 503 to the wheels. pump is brand new double feed fuel rails with all -8. the window switch is set up like so. lower rpm is set at 2 for the tach signal rpm 1 is set to 3k rpm 2 is set at 6300 rpm. red power wire is on a toggle switch with a push botton breaker. the ground is connected to a ground post that is connected to the battery ground. orange wire is wired to wot switch out of the back side of the wot switch it goes to a relay. the relay is powered which open up 12 volts to the solenoids. exactly how lingenfelter told me to wire it. nitrous express told me to wire it the same way.

My car did exact same on tr6. Gap at .036 cut out. Went to .032 and fixed the issue on 100 shot

I would go to .030-.032 gap and also a BR7EF/3346 plug and get rid of the iridium plugs.

You will definitely feel a 100 shot. Do you have a wideband hooked up? To me it sounds like nitrous isn't spraying and the bog is coming from going really rich.

I do not have a wide band I was told I didn't need it but I will be getting one just to be sure. my AF ratio is 12.5 throughout the rpm as it hits 5500 rpm is does go fat to 11.5 but I had the tuner do that because it is an off road truck and I wanted a lot of fuel in it because this truck is wide open for long periods of time. the nitrous will only be used at the sand drags in glamis really.. I'm taking it to a truck show right now so I will try it on the way and see how it does and inform everyone when I get home. thanks for all the help. I didn't change spark plugs but if it does it I will be going and getting the br7ef plugs

Default NOS Retard Test

Hi Cordell, turn the NOS/Fuel change OFF AND allow the Timing Retard (-4) to occur.

Report here about engine operation.
