Default What can a stock 4.8 take?

I’ve looked around but didn’t really find anything. I plan on running a stock 4.8 bottom end in my f body and I’m leaning towards putting it on the bottle. Strictly talking about the block and bottom end how big of a shot will it actually take.

Depends on what year 4.8.
The general consensus is 'all of it'.

Yes all of it until it doesn't. Depends how good you can tune it on the bottle. Also cam specs and heads, can only flow so much nitrous if it's stock heads and cam.

"All of it" is definitely the way to go. But this guy is having fun on a stock 5.3 and the best part is it cost very little to run good. https://ls1tech.com/forums/nitrous-o...h-nitrous.html

Your fuel is going to be what you need to work with on pump gas it’s not going to take all of it but with C16 and direct port it’s a lot. The stock short block stuff is pretty strong.

200 out the hole 200 .6 seconds after the TB is deactivated.

c16, -10 plug, 16* timing . still hasn't blown up after 20+ hits, runs low 6s

We have sprayed 400 for a ton of 1/8 mile runs. It liked 300 more than 400 but I think that was more a converter issue than a nitrous issue.
