I think that's just the SBE 5.3 record. Tell us about your setup!

I gotcha. My current setup is a 89 camaro stripped down about as far as you can take it. Aluminum floor tubular front end 12pt. Stock type suspension. Ford 8.8 rear. Glide. Etc. the motor is out of my dirt drag truck. That’s why stock 5.3 displacement. There is a weight to Cubic inch rule.
Gen 3 block
stock crank
eagle rod
wiesco junk yard dog pistons. 6 cc dome
prc 225 heads 61cc chambers
holley single plane
and a nitrous out stinger 2 Currently on a 105 jet

i would like to go efi for the car and flow both sides of the plate dry as 2 stages. i was going to call y’all about tune ups. Also ask if you think a dry direct port would out run the plate on the same pph

I’m hoping the car will be around 2700 lbs on a 275 radial also the front clip is fiberglass. And all the windows except the windshield are Lexan

I'm glad to hear that! I would put it on EFI and run the dry fogger. That's how the record was set. You have a lot more control over the delivery vs. a plate. Just running a 5.3 that low into the 5's is an accomplishment in itself. Good luck! Let us know if we can help!

Brandon i plan on spraying somewhere around 1450pph. How much injector would that call for with a dry fogger. Say the motor makes 525ish to the crank

I would think you need more than a 400 shot on a 5.3 @ 2700 lbs to break into the 4s in the 1/8th.

I understand that. I’m looking to get a general idea of injector size. Plus a 5.3 will only hold 430ish worth of nitrous at 4.8pph per cubic inch I know the guy that went 5.06 at 2700lb was spraying about 350 on a 5.3. His build is on yellowbullet. Atleast the info he wants everyone to know is on yellowbullet

You want to make 925 hp, you need 925 horsepower worth of injector. 80-120 lb injectors recommended.

I'm not sure why you think a 5.3 will only hold 430 hp worth of nitrous. The 4.8pph/ci rule is an old rule of thumb. Its a guideline, not a barrier.

In all seriousness I always take an opportunity to educate myself. So if you have any information you would like to pass on I’m all ears

I run the stinger plate dry on 2 kits. 120lb injectors can get to 1100 1200 hp on e85 about 11.5 afr gas scale. I maxed out an a1000 pump at 900lbs per hour of fuel so choose your pump wisely.
I can check logs but if I remember correctly 800hp runs about 80% duty cycle. 5.90's at 3300 lbs

Awesome that’s for the info. And that on e85 some the fuel requirements are a touch higher

1100-1200 crank? I maxed out 120's well before 1100whp on E85. Or did you have the pressure jacked up pretty good? I was running 3 Bar base.

I agree on pump, I ran the eliminator, then added a BAP to it, then just went with the 4703 pump.

What power level are you at and what injector do you run

I was planning on running c16. I’m really not sure what the motor makes. The heads are pretty good cnc 225cc. 12 to1 compression blah blah. Plus as much nitrous as it will hold. I’ve always gone by 4.8 pph per cubic inch. The guy above said that is incorrect. Can you shed some like on that as well
