Default Motivation: your opinion on nitrous results

I'm just looking for people's opinions with nitrous- How you like it, if you regret it, would you do it again, pro's and con's, how you punked out the friend who always beats you on motor and then spanked him by ten cars... that kind of stuff.

I might be buying a kit... again. This is the third time I've got the nerve to buy a kit. Everytime I do I get afraid of accelerated wear and resale value. I don't think I will have this car forvever and I won't lie to the buyer of this car when I sell it.
The engine has 42k miles on it. 40k stock and the last 2k with mods in sig, still untuned. Is my motor gonna be able to handle it? I want to spray a 100 shot.
I'm untuned and haven't dynoed yet but I'm pretty sure I will be putting down about 400rwhp/370rwtq with the 100 shot. I'm banking on 500rwhp and 500rwtq (tnt kit.) A friend is selling me this kit:

-TNT F1 kit- the old kit with the purple ring. Is the new kit with the silver power ring any better?
-Pro Purge kit- dual
-NOS Bottle Warmer (heard these suck)
-MSD Window Switch with pills
-Clear MTI lid precut with ring (ready to bolt on)
All for $500. Should I go for it?

For anyone that knows anything about tuning:
My friend said when I get it tuned to get the engine right on motor and then back the timing off two degrees (for a 100 shot.) He said this will be fine, and that I will probably lose 5-7rwhp but it will be safer when spraying. For 7rwhp, I might get a timing tuner. Could I just tune it the best on motor, throw in the 100 jets and then get a timing tuner and back it off two degree's? Will this be fine? What method is recommended, optimum? Thanks.

Definitely go for it, it's awesome.

My last trip to the track I was getting between 28 and 33 degrees of timing (probably averaged 31-32) with my 150 shot with no knock at all. I was totally amazed.

I like it but refills get to be a pita. I run 30* timing on spray and its fine but Im tuned fairly rich on the bottle.

Stock with a 125 shot gave me 440 rwhp/ 560 rwtq
Lightly Modded with a 75 shot gave me 472 rwhp / 466 rwtq

Now I dont have to fill the lil bastard up so much lol

No regrets here either, I've run nitrous on both my Camaros and never had any issues. In fact I'm looking at buying a Silverado today and if I get it, it will have a nitrous system on it by next week.

BTW: If you eliminate the thermostat on that NOS bottle heater it will work great. Just have to keep an eye on the pressure and turn the heater off manually. Also, with my TNT 150 shot I can only run about 26-27* of timming on 93 octane.

Joe Dirt. Why did you lose torque after being modded? I know your spraying less nitrous but it is still 50rwtq less. What are the specs on your cam? Aren't cams with more exhaust duration more efficient for nitrous? I have a 229/233.
Can you feel a 75 shot? I was under the impression that you can barely feel 100 and under. Then again I don't know how you could miss all that torque, that's what you feel.
BTW: I bought it.
Question: In the 1/8th mile, i'm running 8.0@92mph now without traction. Thats launching at 3500 with a 1.9 60ft. I still have a ten bolt. Approx. what will I run with the 100 shot? 7.4@100? Will I be able to spray partially in first? It would seem that gear would be over too fast anyway, especially with 4.11's.

Im not sure why the torque was down , probably because of the small shot and I didnt purge the line before I sprayed so I wasted my best torque area at 3000 - 3400 rpm right off the hit. Im just spraying the 75 till I can upgrade the fuel pump. Cam is just a little 224 220 581 581 116LSA SII reverse split ( more intake than exhaust durration ).

I spray 150 wet and have no problems...

My car has almost 80k miles on it now (30k of that i have been spraying).

Car runs great... only thing i have hurt with nitrous is my transmission...been running it for about 4 months on the latest "stage 4" build with no problems but i dont expect it to hold much longer...
