ZEX nitrous kit any one used it yet? any detonation with it? i got pulled over yesterday, and found out the hard way that a wet system is illegal.would it be easier to convert to dry or get nthe zex? i just want to know if this "smart" technology really works.

its illegal because you mess with the air/fuel map by adding more fuel when the n2o kicks...a dry system adds fuel thru the computer, awet adds by solenoid.

Haven't used it myself, but if they made a kit for my truck, I would've bought it. I haven't heard anything bad about the Zex kits, only good stuff. I like the idea of the NMU with the solenoids built into it. Makes for a clean install. Let us know how it goes if you get one.

It doesn't matter what kit it is. NX, NOS, ZEX, etc. or whether it's wet or dry, it's illegal in California on public roads.

actually its not.a dry system is legal because it adds the extra fuel needed thru the computer.the wet tampers w/ the fuel rail; messing w/ air/fuel maps IS illegal.
