Default NX solonoid mounting location

I am in the middle of a NX wet install and cant decide where to mount solonoids.....my friend wants to mount them on the a/c condenser bracket but it seems really close to the exhaust manifold. Also, it's right above the open part of the engine compartment...wont the rain and elements affect the proper operation of the solonids (ie if they get wet)....we ran the line today and kinds got stumped as to where the solonoid should mount. Seemed like the line came up a little short...we ran it over the rear end and then along the body. This is my first install as well as my friend (his only other N20 install was a Zex kit on a honda) Also, he wants to run the nozzle into the spot on top of my manifold where the egr is on 98-00 cars (LS6 manifold) with one line to the fuel noid and the other going to the n20 noid...that's not a great spot? I think it'll look ghey!!

I need some pics and opnions here...

I see typically the noids mounted upright on either side of the Tbody....how do you mount them there? ..I dunno, Im a newbie to this install i need all the imput i can gather...

Thanks..

Mike

I put mine on the coil mounting bolts, over cylinder 3 on passengerside and over 2 on the driverside(fuel side) I am not sure about the elements I don't drive mine in the rain.

So it is cool to mount off front of head..! Cool because the guy im working with fabbed a bracket to mount all three at a 90 degree right off the head. Kinda riding low between the condenser and the head...

Another question i had was regarding the place to tap for shark nozzle...can it be tapped into the neck of the intake manifold? Will I need to activate at a higher rpm to insure enough vacuum?? Or should I just go buy a new piece of fernco and tap in between the maf and tbody?

I would just tap into the back of the maf like I did. Take it apart and at the back of the maf end drill and tap to the thread size of the nozzel and use some lock tite. It will not move and is a better option than using the bellows.

Cool, thanks. I wonder if I can buy just a tap for 1/8" npt or if I have to buy a whole new tap/die kit to get one.

If anyone knows of free image hosting let me know. Anyone that is curious of the pics just pm me for now and I'll email them to you. I also have templates for the ash tray panel sort of like the jimmy jams, if you are interested the cost is 37 cents(for a stamp). I also have pics of the hidden bottle mounting plate to make your own.
