I got it because of the additional power it makes on FI vehicles due to the cooling effect. Im sure I'll use it eventually, but right now Im just too scared!

Love Nitrous I paid 300 bucks for used kit, installed and tuned for it myself and the mild 100 shot I have still puts me at a total diffent level when I need it.

1) Inexpensive.
2) Does not add much weight to the front of the vehicle.
3) The weight it does add is usually in the rear where you want it.
4) 75 horsepower one minute, 200 the next etc...
5) Massive torque down low unmatched by any other power adder even roots.
6) On a hot day FI car is off 3 to 5 tenths an N2O car 1 to 2 tenths.
7) No intercooler heat soak.
8) Stealth (hidden) if need be. (see money racing)
9) Can remove it and reinstall in any internal combustion vehicle you own. (Try that with your F1R or Twin Turbo set up.)
10) Does not transmit damaging harmonics to your crankshaft. (SC)
11) Does not create intense heat under the hood. (hard on plastics, rubber, paint, etc)
12) Wear and tear only when you need the hit.
13) Intimidation factor, (hitting the purge when opponent is lighting the second bulb staging.) Priceless!

Yes, as we all know there are a few drawbacks, but I feel the pro's heavily out weigh the con's.

Is a properly set up turbo system superior, Yes!
Will it make more power and is it easier on parts, Yes!
But, this all comes at a price, a very high price.
In addition to this high price, it must be noted, that these benifits are only realized at the highest levels of horsepower development.
I believe none of us are at the Bob Reiger vs Pat Musi level where it really makes a difference.

Thank you for your time.
I hope I have made some type of contribution.

If F/I wasn't more reliable/less stressful, than why would it be offered on factory vehicles? I have never seen a factory installed NX kit.

u didnt know they came factory on all northside cars
