Default spraying gas nitrous help

Just installed my kit the yesterday. Worked fine at first.. I probably purged it 20 times lol. I ran a 35 shot maybe 10 times at most but only in 2nd gear. Then I started to run it the full 1/4 and my time was basically what it always is. I was like ?? So I hit the purge just to check it and no liquid would come out. Bottle heater is around 975psi... So I start home and purge is a few more times to see if its working and it would spray just a little liqiud and mostly gas. It was late so I decided to wait to today to worry about it. I went out and purged it again and a little liquid then only air. I had the bottle a little tilted so i could see the guage so i fixed it the way it was suppose to be and same thing. I wieghed the bottle and it said it had 2lbs. Does it really go that fast?

How long will a 10lb bottle last spraying a 75 tnt shot?
Is there a way to see how full the bottle is w/o weighing it?

btw i read in the faq that a 125 shot will last about 9-10 full passes. But im wondering about you guys running a 75 shot.

purging 20 times didn't help much. the only way to know exactly how much you have left in your bottle is to weigh it. I get 3.5 1/4 runs on my 180 shot.

I was amazed to at how fast the juice gets used up, i went 8 passes going back and forth from a 75 to a 100 shot and the last two passes it was sputtering. Its a good thing that it isnt that expensive

Just open the bottle and get it refilled.... Sound like you got a lot of air in there.

unless you're running a nitrogen push setup, it's almost impossible to actually use the whole 10 pounds using a heater. get it refilled and don't purge so much.

Ok you will use .6lbs of nitrous for every 10 seconds of nitrous usage. When you purge you will use 1.2lbs for every 10 seconds of play time. And when a bottle is that low, it is dead. There is to much pressure drop happening when the nitorus solenoid in open to do any good.
One thing you can not put 10lbs of air into a nitrous bottle. nope not going to happen. So if you are ever told that your bottle was field with air, you know that is not right.

I think the guy that just told you "whoever filled it last didn't know what they were doing. It did have nitrous but A LOT of air," doesn't know what he's doing either. 10 pounds of nitrous is 10 pounds of nitrous no matter how much air is in there. air doesn't weigh anything.

Huh? Liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen... Everything weighs something...

cripes man! you compress ANYTHING into a bottle under 1100 pound of pressure it will weigh.

I'm sorry, I just got served. Being a SCUBA diver, you'd think I would've thought before I spoke, but I didn't. My SCUBA tank does weigh more full (72 CF 3000 PSI) than empty.

No he wasnt saying the air weighed that much... It did at one time have nitrous. The tank wasnt full but the reason it was still purging somethign out is because it had a lot of air. I watched him let what was in the bottle out to get it cold so he could refill it... When he opened the valve it sprayed out for a while but didnt get cold at all. So he said all the nitrous was gone... He put it in the fridge and let it get cold. He said that keeps it from getting so much air.....

I thought it had 2lbs in the bottle but i think the bottle actually weights more like 16-17lbs. It says it wieghts 15 but i weighed it at 17 w/ what he said was air.

No idea if he knew what he was saying or not about getting it cold...
btw is $40 average for a filled bottle?

Before my local shop closed, I was paying $4/lbs.
