Default 2nd gear activation question for A4

Do you purge it at the line, then de-activate the system and then turn it back on once you've shifted into 2nd gear? Thanks for any info

Why is your purge is wired to your master arm switch? Mine is wired completly by itself, I can purge without the master arm switch being on. So roll out of the burnout, purge, then arm when your ready to spray.

ok well which car are you refering to? the white one? the black one? because none of them show the switch panel locations or how they are wired. but to answer your question, if you are refering to me, is the black one has it's own power switch because i bought a four button switch panel that goes into the ashtray. the white one is one master switch, then the purge button wired to it yes. that way, while the wife is driving it everyday, she'll have to actually turn it on to hit the purge. the nytrex kit doesn't come with a separate on/off switch for the purge.

so, with the white car, i do the burnout, turn on, purge, turn off. then take off and turn it back on. big deal.

with the black car, i burnout, it turn on the purge, purge, either leave power on or turn off, then take off and turn on nitrous. either way same thing. i had an extra switch, so i hooked it to the purge button on the black one.

I was actually reffering to the general question because it sounds like he had the purge noid power wired to the master arm. I am curious about the black car though, you have 2 switches for the purge, one power then one momentary? Why not just have the momentary switch control an ignition switched 12V source?

You should have time to control the master arm manualy when coming out of the hole. Once you get used of it you can pretty much judge when it's time to spray in a split second. Their are controlers on the market with first gear lock out but I would try it without one first and see how things go, depends how well they prep your track. I've seen alot of guys using time based controlers with smaller shots on street night (they don;t prep our track for street night) with some pretty good results.

reason for that is i still have the ashtray cover to close over the switch panel. and it comes real close to hitting the purge button. this way i can close the lid, no one can see the switches, and the lid won't accidentally hit the purge button and let it all out. one day i'll take a pic of it so you can see.

Anothr way is by doing a timing tuner nitrous setup.
You could have it hooked to to a wide open throttle switch and the nitrous come's on x amount a seconds after your petal hits the metal.
