Default RPM Window Switches, Who makes the best?

I am wondering who makes the best RPM window switch? The two common ones seem to be MSD with pills and the new Digital MSD unit. Does anyone feel that the digital unit is worth the extra money? The Digital unit looks a whole lot larger in size as well. Any other palyers out there making window switches? Any opinions??

i use the msd wityh the pills and i'm perfectly happy with it. the only drawback is that since i dont have too many pill sizes, sometimes when i want to change a setting i have to borrow/trade pills with friends.

I think the digital msd is great. It is larger, but like said before there are no more pills to buy. Belive it or not, every time I pop my hood EVERY person standing around gawks at the digital rpm readout! Who would think people would be so impressed by a little red number??

Digital MSD unit.

HOWEVER, and this is a HUGE however, it takes a little bit of time to go through it's activation/start-up (about 10-15 seconds). Other than that, I love it.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I do like the digital model as well. Actually looking around the price is only a little bit more than the pill version. Where is the cheapest place to buy the digital version?

Dan,
We carry three different window switches.
We carry the BMN controller and two versions of the msd.Digital and regular. The digital is actually cheaper than the one with the pills.

Check out Bills window switch..We have carried his product for some time now.Great product and great customer service to go behind it.Im sure he would be more than happy to set you up as a dealer. His window switches have dip switches and a optional firts gear lock out.

Your linky no worky. But I've been there before and have a question. Can this window switch be set up to run dual switches for a dual stage? This way I don't have to monkey around setting up the extra micro switch (laying on my desk) to be used as first lock out (running dual msd switches).

You can use it to turn on the second stage after hitting second gear. We are also workin on getting a multi-stage window switch togethor. I'm guessing one that has a 2 or 3 stage option to pick from. I can draw up a wire diagram to show u how to wire it in with only 1 WOT switch if you would like. Or are you looking to keep both off until second gear?

What I am trying to do is dead hook without leaving the vette rear behind, so I am thinking about first lock out both stages then a small dry in second at 3200rpm and then the second stage wet (about 150) coming in at 4500 or slightly higher, so as not to blow the launch. I think this will work as I power shift at 6500rpm or so. That's why I have a extra MSD right now, I couldn't see how I could make yours work? Thanks

Edit: I would get the BMN switch if we can figure out how to set it up for my needs (cause it has most of what I'm looking for: sweet product), as the dual msd switches, dual micro switches is a little complicated to set up.

I can draw that up. You could eithor run all 3, or one MSD and one BMN. Let me know exactly which way you want and I'll post it up.

the digital is cheaper than the pilled. After you buy the switch you also have to include atleast 2 sets of pills. summit is the cheapest but they are on back order till march. i ordered mine through a buddies shop their supplier had 3 left.

one thing i did notice though for the ls1 they say you need to put it on 1 cylinder mode but it didn't work on my friends 98 until we set it to the 4 cylinder mode. We both love ours, one thing thats cool is if you want to test your stuff out just run the on rpm down no need to jumper pills.

Summit's web site shows it backordered, but I ordered one anyway and it came two days later. Call them. Sometimes they don't update the web...

I paid $89 for the MSD Digital window switch.

Ok, set-up a drawing for me and if I agree (I'm sure I will) a BMN will be ordered. I was using 2nd micro for a mech/elect lock out on shifter (just to be clear). Then I'll sell extra msd for recoup $$. Thanks for going out of your way to help.

Dan,

The digital MSD is actually cheaper than the pill version, because you need to buy 2 packs of 5 pills each to get the lower and upper limits. Once you add the pill cost to the old style, its a lot more money than the digital.
