The one thing that we have to remember is if a dr or wet kit of equal power is tuned correctly, the wet kit has the added draw back of mech failure that the dry does not; Meaning, fuel noid, fuel relay, fuel fuse, fuel wiring failure can mean diasater. Now upgrading injectors as a cost factor we have to look at svo 30's (37lb) at about $220 plus $550 for the NOS 5177= $770 with all the safety stuff in the kit. Now an NX wet (a good kit) at about $750 plus the gen 2 add on kit for the safety stuff is well over a $1000 dollars. So, to me the 5177 even with injectors is still a bargan and later you can add to it in so many ways: turn it wet, dual stage dry, propane kicker, dual dry/wet and more. I believe that dry on ls1/ls6 is the safer choice and this decision is made after running wet kits for 20+ years. Of course, some will disagree, and Bicklefirebird has my respect because he at least has run a dry kit where as most naysayers haven't.
