How much of a shot?

Hey whats up Nitrous junkies. My dad is considering putting his Z on the squeeze. It is an 02 Z28 with Stage 2 heads and 226/.584/114 cam. Compression ratio is at around 11.7:1 Timing is set at 28 and a/f is right around 12.8:1 It has a 3800 stall and 3.73 gears in a 12bolt.The car put down 404rwhp and 382 rwt. With Mickey E/T Radials on the bac, the car's current best is a 11.83@117. This was done through the cats with the car shortshifting at 5500 and soup for air.
We were considering an adjustable kit in the 75-175 range. How much can this motor safely take with the correct tune on 94 pump gas. And what would be the most user friendly/easy to install, safe kit to buy.
All opinions are welcome.

not a nitrous expert but must people would say up to 150hp wet on the stock bottom end. Others have gone higher but id stay between 100-150 on a wet kit. As far as which kit is safer, easier to install etc etc is pretty much a toss up. Some peeps prefer NX while others TNT and so on. IMHO i believe a Direct port setup (although a lil more expensive) would be the best way to go for safety/tuning but as i said im no nitrous expert. Hopefully someone will get on here and post who has alot more xperience than me

I wouldnt consider anything over a 150 shot wet unless you want to finish off the engine to go stonger or bigger and stonger. However since the car is already making over 400rwhp you might consider an intank 255 lph fuel pump to be safe or a stand alone fuel system for the nitrous. To keep it simple I would get an NX single nozzle set up for now. There will be plenty of room to upgrade their kit later. Also very easy to install. Dont forget about the window switch, purge and bottle heater. Plenty of options.

Thanks guys. What do you think the car will run with a 125 shot. Do you think mid 10's are possible?

i think it'll get a 10.90 or so maybe better dependin on track, traction, weather, etc

w/ the right suspension and an extra 125hp+ hittin the ground i think the car will be capable of dippin in the 10s. 11.8@117 already. He could get that down to mid 11s n/a
