with a dry kit i would have it tuned , you can get bye a little better with a wet kit with no tune.

um wet kit is what NEEDS to be tuned.

Dry you are relying on your computer pulling the fuel.

Wet you are just shooting nitrous and fuel into the motor. You are PULLING it from the fuel rails.

I have the wet kit. 12.1 off juice.. ON juice I am 14.74! So, you need a tune with wet.

Dry, you can definately get away with it.

The 5177 is safe without tune, I suggest plugs though. I have run a couple diff 5177's on totally stock tunes, no problems (100/125hp's). To be ultra safe, I would log or dyno. A friend just ran a 12.09 with a track temp of 110* and a less than optimal 1.9 60ft at 120+, easy 11's, all with bone stock tune. That was jetted with the 100hp jets, really about 85hp at rw.

You really don't have too, but it would not hurt to pull some timing if needed, due to engine knock, but it would be hard to find out with out some thing like Hp tune, check with the sponcers, they can tune it if you send the pcm out, but the definate better way is to find a shop with dyno+hp tuners so the guess work is gone. I ran my maf wet for awhile till I got HP Tuner and I had no problem, and ran great.

You also might have some knock retard when spraying and you dont want that. Get it tuned to be safe.

While were on this subject i had a f2 kit but only hit it once on a 150 without a tune, is it going to be ok on a forged motor to run 150 for a little while, and i say a little while but what i mean is maybe 2 bottles at most. If not is there anyway i could pull timing out of it my self and how could it be accomplished?

Thanx guys

In my car i run a 125 shot and run 12.4 consistantly off the bottle, but run 11.7's with decent B/P , how is dude running 13.3 off and 12.1 on? Is it because i dont hit the nitrous on until the end of 1st gear? And why did it only take .3 off my 8th mile?

Run a little race gas mix with 93 octane and you'll be fine.
I shoot off the line, activated and ready, I have a VIG 3200 so it flashes at 3600.

We have 98 octane here, my AFR NA is 12.8 and I shoot up to 150 dry.
