I was just going to post that. Absolutely do NOT spray at 2200rpm.
Spray it at 3,000rpm.There's nothing wrong with the kit. It's the method in which you're using it. Honestly, I think a gain of 2 tenths and 2mph is good for how you were spraying it.
fuel isn't going to puddle at 2000 rpms. 8 cylinders pulling air at 33.33 revolutions per second (2000 rpms). and let's use a small 200 cfm of air per cylinder. so, 200 x 8 x 33 / 2 = 26,400 cfm per second!!! and that's just at that rpm. and we won't even get into rate of acceleration of the motor in first gear.
now, is it more stressful on a motor? is any part you add that increases torque and horsepower to a motor as stressful? well, of course.
it's a roll of the dice is all. and i'm on stock 10 bolts in both cars to boot. i'm a disaster just waiting.
but, i play to win. and i'm not afraid to be innovative and lead the way. versus all the people that sit back and wait for someone else to try it first. some are leaders, some are followers. Last edited by mrr23; Jul 23, 2005 at 03:54 PM.
