Tnt 75hp Shot Race Results
Ok everything seemed to have gone ok. No problems i mean. But it seems the 75hp shot didnt really produce much. All engine the best i ran was 12.9@105. Which pissed me off anyway cause ive ran way faster (in my sig.) a bunch of times. But i guess it was pretty humid out tonight. Anyway i used the TNT only 2 runs. Had no window switch so i just manually switched it on and off in between gears. It seemed to work fine but the best i ran was 12.7@109 w/TNT. I see the mph increase but i was expecting a lot more in my e.t. Maybe i was expecting too much. Anyway what do you guys think?

i have a feeling it has to do with the "manual" switching on and off. its not gonna work out for ya.
get a window switch. 75 TNT shot should be worth an easy .5-.6 tenths and 7 mph no problem.

I have a window switch on the way(and bottle heater) but i was already at the track and wanted to try it out a couple times to just get an idea. I plan on adding kooks LT's,gmmg exhaust, and a 255lb fuel pump. Then have it dynotuned with the 100 and 150 shots

turn it on at about 2200 rpms and don't turn off until you are done. then come back and let us know what your new ET is. all that turning on/off between gears and most likely not turning it on until at least 3000 rpms in first gear is why you saw more mph and not much ET. the later you turn it on, the less ET you'll see. all it's good for at that point is mph. as evidence of your MPH.

DO NOT TURN IT ON AT 2200 rpm. Even with the 75 shot. Start at the usual 3000 rpm recomended and if you feel you have to do something different from there you could adjust it a bit. I wouldnt go lower than 3000 much more than a few hundred rpm. And do not go lower than 3000 when you step to the TNT 100 shot or larger.

I was just going to post that. Absolutely do NOT spray at 2200rpm. Spray it at 3,000rpm.
There's nothing wrong with the kit. It's the method in which you're using it. Honestly, I think a gain of 2 tenths and 2mph is good for how you were spraying it.

Thanks unit. I think. I know i probably shouldnt have even tried it like that. But i was impatient. Dont worry I would never use it under 3000rpms. I dont know what that guy was thinking saying 2200rpms! Hes nuts! I hope he was joking! I got a 3000stall anyway so im pretty safe there i think. Next time i see the track i will still have the 10 bolt. But im not using TNT until 2nd gear anyway. So its not gonna hurt it. For the way i used it im pretty happy with the outcome 2 tenths and I actually got 4 MPH, UNIT. I think thats a good mph pickup for how i did it. But like i said next time window switch will be in.

no i'm not joking. oh, here we go with that don't spray under 3000 rpms crap again. give me a valid reason why. i have two cars i do it with since i've bought them used with 50k + miles on them. both motors are holding up just fine. wife's with higher compression running 175 (rated at motor) and my completely stock motor 00 formula, just like his running a 200 shot.
fuel isn't going to puddle at 2000 rpms. 8 cylinders pulling air at 33.33 revolutions per second (2000 rpms). and let's use a small 200 cfm of air per cylinder. so, 200 x 8 x 33 / 2 = 26,400 cfm per second!!! and that's just at that rpm. and we won't even get into rate of acceleration of the motor in first gear.
now, is it more stressful on a motor? is any part you add that increases torque and horsepower to a motor as stressful? well, of course.

and i'm ok with that. people do what they feel safe doing. and i've read more than one thread in here where guys are running 250 shot on a stock shortblock motor. a little more than what i feel comfortable with. but i don't call them stupid for it. i'm in another thread where a guy calls me stupid for doing it.
it's a roll of the dice is all. and i'm on stock 10 bolts in both cars to boot. i'm a disaster just waiting. but, i play to win. and i'm not afraid to be innovative and lead the way. versus all the people that sit back and wait for someone else to try it first. some are leaders, some are followers.
