I have a stock bottom end and have a 175 shot on mine but I dont spray it every weekend, not even close and its also 2 stage, I'm not getting the full shot off the line....I would limit it to 150 if you do it on a regular basis

My friend Mike has sprayed 200hp dry a few times but not every weekend. It's a stock everyday driver.

Don't think you can just throw a big shot on there without changing a few things though. He runs the engine cooler, cold racing plugs, and the tune is adjusted.

Up to a 2 stage 225 shot now. Up until this season I was going through atleast 15lbs a week at a 150rwhp shot, havn't had much time to run it this year though (I've been through maybe 100lbs at the most this season). This is my fourth year spraying the stock bottom end.

Personally, nothing over a 100 shot if spraying a few times a week and want to have the best chance with the motor/tranny/rear-end lasting. My Z06 and my buddies Z28 have zero problems doing 100 shots for over 2 years, spraying whenever we wanted. BUT, even with a 100 shot nothing is guaranteed, something could go wrong with a weak rod bolt or even a solenoid may go bad. These are the risks with the juice.
Now that I have up'd the shot to a 175, I don't spray as often, but I have the $$$ put aside to go to a forged motor if I break something. If you can't pay watch how you play.

Alot of it is in the tune, it's really not running on kill, maybe I'll start pushing at the end of the season.

Hey, all I can say is too cool. I "thought" I sprayed alot but now I know better. Keep us informed. Hell, I say stay where you are at and just keep it up!!! Again, nice job and you are right, it is in the tune and making sure your A/F are where they need to be.

I have close to 150 passes this year, and this is with small med and large hits. Some single and some dual stage. My belief is that for a stock bottom end to live, we need to spread the torque out over the run (multi stg or progressive). I am trying for my 10.xx pass on the 23rd with an absolutly bone stock long block and don't even have headers. Like GM said, the tune, I have my own custom tune also tailored to my needs. I plan on this motor living a while. Third stage going on this winter, next year, deep into the tens on stock low end.

My secong stage will be adjustable to 250 but i'll probly just stay with 175.I might do a lil bigger if someone throws up some money to race. Also what do ya'll do for timing. How do you retard it.I'm going to take my car to thunder racing for a tune is that a wise choice.
