Default n00b w/ dry kit question..

Just installed an NOS dry kit in the firechicken last night, but I do have one question. I wasn't sure whether to run the single fogger in the neck of the lid (post IAT), or in the mouth of the lid (pre IAT), I ended up choosing to insert it into the neck figuring that the only difference is that the PCM will not see the rapid temp drop and will therefore not bump timing accordingly. Typically speaking however, which is infact the correct way to do this? Do I want the IAT so feel the N2O or do I want to keep it where I have it?

I seen it mounted several ways, but I don't think you want your IAT sensor adding/controlling timing when you're spraying.

I had my dry shot plummed in the lid like the 5177. the ats helps add fuel for when you spray unless you are tuning via edit you can set it at what you want.

Most people install it in the lid.

Hrmm.. I'm thinking maybe I should relocate it then out of the neck of the lid to the mouth area instead..

Can you do a pic of your current set-up? sounds like it might be a little close to MAF? The pic above is y-bod, but f-bod is the same except turned over, meaning fitting in the top of lid after filter.

The MAF controls fueling based on the air metered, however the LS1 does have provisions in the map to adjust timing for different ECT and IAT readings, among other things.

Right the IAT does nothing with fuel. I mounted mine just how the kit says(3" from the backside of the lid). We checked my temp sensor readings under spray and it was 28 degrees F. That was with a 100 shot rwhp. The bad thing was m maf didn't pick up the spray like the nos system should. Lucky I only spraied acouple times before I dynoed.

Curious about this also... particularly for a y body with Blackwing....
